The best raw oysters! Porch and Patio are lovely. One of our favorite spots between Fairfield and New Haven.

Attentive and courteous service. Four of us ordered various salads with various proteins and all enjoyed the flavors.

Great outdoor setting for a group of old college friends. Service was attentive, timely and appropriate for the group. Oysters (both raw and roast) were perfect; drink menu was reminiscent of New Orleans and we appreciated the breadth and inventiveness. Main courses across halibut & bone in filet were prepared perfectly. Pleasantly surprised with the experience and returned a week later with my daughter who was in town - both visits were consistent and will return.

The food was amazing as usual. It did take a while for our drinks to arrive. The waitress was friendly enough but not apologetic about the time it took or the incorrect drink . Not a deal breaker- we will go back since the was the first and only time service was slow ;)

There were 7 people in our party who were seated quickly and were attended to like we were a party of two! Food was fresh and hot and the waitress was always checking on us! I’m sorry but I wish I could remember her name! Amazing memories my 75 year old father, his daughters, son and grandchildren.

We have enjoyed eating at Founders. We came for a special occasion and a particular meal. The food stuffing was dry and gross. The king crab legs were salty and dry and no legs only knuckles. The manager took $50 off. I find that to be missing the mark when we frequent his restaurants and spend quite a bit of money. We also had to wait awhile to get the check when they knew we did not enjoy the food. I had to go home and eat. This is one of my daughter’s favorite spots but not sure when we will return, if we do.

Founders never disappoints. We have been here a couple of times for dinner and now came for lunch. Consistently good food and service. I particularly like the Create your own salad option for lunch. Well Done!
