Highly Seasonal
While our menu will change over with each passing season, we also continue to source the freshest ingredients from local farms to help inspire daily specials. Our goal is to give you the best tasting dishes, the easiest way to do that is to start with what’s in season.
Nose to Tail, Root to Leaf
We believe every part of the plant and animal can and should be used in the process making food. Whether it’s used as a component in making stocks/sauces, as the main ingredient of the dish, or as a garnish, our goal is to use 100% of the entire plant/animal we purchase. The goal is less waste and responsible consumerism.
Return to Cooking
With our wood fired oven and wood fired grill we are returning to the origins of cooking: cooking over fire. Here at Foster, we combine fresh ingredients, classic technique, and an open flame to serve you a meal that’s simply elegant.

Absolutely superb food and very good service. The only problem we had was it was much too cold in the dining room. I stepped outside to get jackets out of the car long after asking the server if someone could turn down the A/C, the outdoor tables were perfectly comfortable, but inside the curtains were billowing from the A/C. After complaining a 2nd time the A/C was turned off. We will try it again regardless.

We came for brunch and ate outdoors. We enjoyed the meatballs as an appetizer. They were moist with an excellent red sauce. One person had their double cheese burger with yellow tomato that was delicious. The shrimp and grits in a red sauce were lovely. The eggs were made great. The creme brûlée was a wonderful. And the home-made ice creams topped the meals. Thank you

We came here because it was listed on the top 50 of Newsday. We sat outside which was great--inside was very noisy. we had street corn and gambas al ajillo as apps. the corn was great. The shrimp was soft, with good flavor, probably poached. I would have like something grilled, but it was good. our entries were burgers, gnudi, and a side of bok choy. the burger and bok choy were really good. the gnudi was soft and the sauce was ok. it was a little heavy but that's probably what it's supposed to be. the dessert was choc chip bread pudding-- very average. overall, they were busy and service was pretty slow. the staff were professional but seemed tired. the bill had a 3% "admin fee"-- we paid with cash so it wasn't a cc fee. we didn't understand what it was but it was late and we paid and left. I liked it a lot when this place was metropolitan but now it seems more of a bar scene. so food good but service so-so.

The food is very good and service is friendly and efficient. It’s our second time dining and everything we had is delicious. A great neighborhood find in Sea Cliff.

Rich is a dynamite manager, Erica a fab waitress, Javier a super nice staff member, John - a magician bartender. Oh by the way - food is terrific!
