Fossetta is a natural wine bar and restaurant in the Lower East Side. Charlene Santiago (formerly of The John Dory Oyster Bar and Reynard) and Josh Even (Tosca Cafe in SF, Breslin Bar & Dining Room, The Spotted Pig) have curated a menu of Sourdough Focaccia, Antipasti, and House-Made Pastas influenced by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean. The oft-changing wine list features natural wines from small producers from around the world. Large garage doors provide a casual indoor/outdoor European appeal. Come for a glass of wine and snacks, or enjoy a full dinner, or celebrate a special occasion. Open for Lunch and Brunch as well!

Brunch served every Saturday and Sunday 10am - 3:30pm. Exclusive Brunch offerings such as our creamy Polenta w/ Poached Eggs & Mushrooms and our Breakfast Sandwich made on our House-Made Potato Bun, Melted Fontina Cheese & your choice of Bacon, Avocado, or Pan-Fried Mortadella. And, as always, our Cast-Iron Pancake.

Found a write up on best pancakes in NYC from pancake princess. The description was too good to pass up as we have enjoyed Clinton Street bakery over the years. Made an easy reservation for brunch on Sunday. Ordered the cast iron pancake (takes a little time) and the grilled cheese w egg along w cortado and cappuccino. Drinks came out quickly. My wife described her cortado w oat milk ‘liquid gold’. My drink was excellent. When the pancakes came out I dove in. It was piping hot with an apple spread and butter on top and syrup on side. The outside was crispy, highlighting the cast iron prep. It was truly a treat. The grilled cheese came w the egg (over medium) served on top. The bread was amazing the cheese decadent. The egg was also perfect. There were a side of small pickles to help w digestion of cheese. Sandwich was not overly cheesy but more than cheesy enough. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Servers were great. All 3 front of house people were attentive, kind and personable. After 25+ years of searching the city for a place like this I am satisfied. Best NYC breakfast ever. (Side note - menu changes slightly so what is online might not be same as what is current. )

Went twice back to back. Incredible burrata and focaccia dishes. Wow. Best focaccia I've ever had. No liquor which was a bummer, but great little vibe for and early date / dinner. Would come again.

5 stars. Great food. Try the octopus. Menu is non traditional and very well curated. Great service.

Our server (wish I had asked his name) was welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. He suggested an off menu wine which was exactly what we had hoped for. Focaccia was excellent. Entrees were delicious (rigatoni with chicken livers and Marsala cream sauce, lasagna and pork chop-hard to choose our favorite). Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
