Forty Dean Street is the pinnacle of affordable Italian cuisine in busy Soho. We are a small, family run restaurant dedicated to providing incredible food at incredible prices. Our set menu boasts a variety of sensational dishes built around fresh, seasonal produce and has customers coming back on a daily basis. Our à la carte menu is a favourite with our regulars, the media crowd and tourists alike.
Italian food has been served at Forty Dean Street for more than 17 years, so we like to think there’s nothing we haven’t mastered. So pop in for an Aperol Spritz!

The staff were friendly and helpful and we liked the general atmosphere of this restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our food and would recommend the bruschetta for a starter, which was outstanding. The prices are not cheap which is to be expected for London. This is definitely worth a visit for a pre theatre dinner. I booked for 5:30pm and we were finished before 7pm (without dessert).

Food was excellent. Some service was excellent, but we were being hurried out of our seats so if you are looking for a longer dinner with your party then maybe choose another venue. Chicken risotto was awesome

This place was a diamond in the rough. Thank goodness for all the amazing reviews on OpenTable as this was by far one of the best meals/experiences of our trip and we traveled all over the UK. The service was great, including the owner, who was just delightful and kind. If you go and it’s busy, as it’s a cozy and quaint restaurant, there’s not a lot of space between tables. But it was still very romantic. The food was amazing! We started off with the mozzarella cheese bread which was great. It had a little too much parsley for my taste, but the crust and cheese was just divine. I had the lobster ravioli and my husband, the cheese-filled. Both were perfectly al dente and the amount of sauce and filling were on point. For dessert, we had the Panna cotta, which is my favorite dessert and especially when done properly. The mixed berry compote was perfectly balanced, not-too-sweet or sour, and complemented the Panna cotta perfectly. Would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a great meal.
