Forty Dean Street is the pinnacle of affordable Italian cuisine in busy Soho. We are a small, family run restaurant dedicated to providing incredible food at incredible prices. Our set menu boasts a variety of sensational dishes built around fresh, seasonal produce and has customers coming back on a daily basis. Our à la carte menu is a favourite with our regulars, the media crowd and tourists alike.
Italian food has been served at Forty Dean Street for more than 17 years, so we like to think there’s nothing we haven’t mastered. So pop in for an Aperol Spritz!

Brilliant all around plus dog friendly. I had the beef pappardelle which was incredible. Highly recommend

The vibe of the restaurant was 10/10 lovely atmosphere with candle lit tables. Food was amazing, the prawn linguine had plenty of big prawns, everything else we ordered was also lovely. The Italiano sour cocktail was amazing. They surprised me with a birthday dessert without asking which made the evening even better. Definitely will be back. Perfect date night spot.

Nice quaint restaurant that has a traditional style of Nona’s house. Great food and excellent service. Will definitely revisit.

Lovely buzzing restaurant. Very central for many theatres. Lovely food. Fantastic service. So good that I have booked another table in 5 days time.

Too slow for pre-theatre. Took one hour for mains so felt rushed. Suspect the steaks we chased weren’t properly rested, which distracted from otherwise quality, tasty food. Great wine choices. Lovely smiley staff. But couldn’t have a dessert or cocktail as had to rush for the show. Took longer for 2 people than the 90 minutes we were told our booking was for - and not because we were slow to order. Very dark interior too.

The place was nice and the staff very pleasant. The food was good, but I ordered pappardelle with ragu and it was definitely tagliatelle. The steak was nice but not a lot of sauce. Garlic bread was lovely. We asked for the French rose and it wasn’t until I checked my bill later that I realised they had given us the Italian rose wine which was £5.50 more! What I didn’t like was the staff scraping the leftovers of peoples plates opposite our table into plastic containers, not what you want to see. If the 3 issues I ve highlighted hadn’t happened I would definitely give the place four and a half stars
