Very disappointed in the restaurant. Food was not up to par. They ran out of some food. We had reservations and were not seated on time. It took a long time to get our food and manager did not give a discount for the food they did not have or even a discount when we complained about the slow service. Our waitress was great. However, we will not be back. Hate to see a nice restaurant like this in Tuscaloosa end up being so bad. They need to work on making it better and they need to be prepared.

Food was very good. I would have liked some appetizer options to share. I did think the menu was limited but our entrees were very good.

We enjoyed our meal at Forté. We started with the rosemary fries and enjoyed some of their fun holiday cocktails. I got the miss rosemary. For dinner, I got the grouper. It was outstanding. Cooked perfectly and so appetizing with the spinach and red onion. Others ordered pasta dishes and did not enjoy as much. The main complaints were not much flavor (bolognese) and spicy (shrimp pasta). If it were just my meal - would have rated 5 stars.

We had reservations for weeks for Thanksgiving dinner and had been looking forward to dining at Forte. Our food was served cold. All of it was cold. Green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, mac and cheese…all 3 of our party…all cold. So we packed it all up and will heat it at home and hopefully our party of 3 will enjoy our $222 Thanksgiving dinner. So disappointed.

Limited menu. We had the focaccia bread with olive oil and the frites for appetizers. They were just ok. For dinner we had the filet, which was delicious. The steak and frites, also delicious. The meatballs, delicious, and the spicy vodka sauce rigatoni and sausage. It was very spicy so believe it when you see it on the menu! We ordered a sundae which was a treat! These items plus one alcoholic drink was a $250 meal, so bring your wallet.

Incredible meal and the service was outstanding. I would highly recommend Forte for a nice dinner in Tuscaloosa.

Service was excellent, staff were courteous and attentive. We were disappointed with the food. Pasta and “Italian food” seemed less than authentic - and lacked the personality one would expect of a fine dining resturant. We ordered Focaccia bread as an appetizer - a huge quantity of greasy tasting thickly sliced bread arrived with a dark brown sour tasting olive tapenade spread that was too sour and salty to eat. We love olive tapenade - and this was bad! Dinner for my date was steak frites and fries - this was great, the hangar steak and sauce were the best - it was tender and highly tasty! Dinner for me was the “Spicy Vodka Sauce and Italian sausage” - this was a calamarata pasta dish and had Italian sausage meatballs. The taste was good but it had too little of the spicy vodka sauce. The dish was dry and lacked any kinds of creative flavor I would have expected from the description of “spicy or sauce”. I took a few bites but could not appreciate the value of eating something so wrong! We shared the steak frites and ended with “Sticky toffee pudding” which was great! I was not a bad experience - but it could have been so much better!!

All three pasta dishes we tried were excellent! Chicken Parmesan and spicy shrimp bucatini were standout dishes.
