The self serve wine tasting was amazing! The flavors that I had were awesome and sweet. The honey hot chicken sandwich was extremely delicious! The waiter was very attentive to our needs and took the time to really explain things to us. I would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

This was my first time visiting the Formosa Garden Wine Tasting restaurant. The place was clean, food awesome, and service from Justin great! I’ll definitely be back to enjoy more of the menu and the wine.

When we got there, the host proceeded to seat us inside even though we had an outside reservation. She did not ask first if we wanted to sit inside or outside. So I asked to be seated outside as per my reservation. It was my birthday, and my sister had to get up to get one of the hosts to take our orders because we had no one come to ask if we wanted drinks to start off. We love the ambiance of the facility. But the staff need to be a bit more on their feet in getting orders.

We are local and have been to Formosa several times however this time was very disappointing. Atmosphere was very nice and people were nice. It was the entree that we had the problem with. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles and I ordered the chicken sandwich. The chicken was burnt to a crisp. It was hard to cut through it or bite through it. I am in the food industry and really don’t like to complain about our food but mentioned it to the server just so she could let the cook know that they may want to cook it a little less in future orders. We had waited a little bit for our food and didn’t want to wait longer for another plate so we attempted to eat it. In the mean time someone else was walking past tables asking how things were (I’m assuming a manager) and we pointed it out to her also. She was very apologetic and said she would take care of it. A while later when the server came to clear plates and ask how everything was I said the side salad was good and my husband’s waffle was good but we just could not chew through the chicken. She did remove a beer from our tab which we appreciated because we really weren’t looking for something free but in my opinion they should have removed the chicken. Especially when you are paying $22 for a chicken sandwich and $22 for chicken and waffles. I would have had no problem paying for what we could eat and I would have tipped the server for what the full bill would have been as it is not her fault how the food was cooked. Again I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to be “that” person. I just feel it is something they should have rectified on there own without someone having to ask. We paid the bill and left.
