The menu is not extensive but the food we had was delicious. The honey and pumpkin butter with the bread was a revelation - excellent. I had wanted something hot but personally didn’t love a lot of the menu. The crab salad was excellent as was the chicken Caesar salad I had for the mains. A lot of chicken and beautifully tender. Petit fours an excellent way to finish a meal. My companions loved the pear salad, soup and venison. The bench seating was not hugely comfortable. Service very good.

Excellent cooking and top quality ingredients! We had a lovely Sunday lunch and a lovely surprise birthday treat was brought to the table!

A little gem of a restaurant in Lewes. Very nice welcome. We ate in the courtyard. Good menu choices. Delicious food and fabulous flavours. Wine selection was excellent from local vineyard. We will return

We had delicious food served by a very attentive and thoughtful waiter who kindly allowed us to change the vegetables on one of our mains. For us the tables were very small and close together. There was no music (we think) and therefore every word on the next door table could be heard - even though they were talking quietly. The food was very good and portions were good, too. And the service was excellent. We enjoyed our visit.

Big thanks to Phillipe and the team for looking after us for our anniversary dinner last night. This place is a wee gem in Lewes and couldn’t believe it was our first visit having not been aware of its existence. Will be back very soon!
