Anniversary lunch visit. Food was lovely and a good selection of local sparkling wines to choose from. Will return!

The meal was good especially after our previous visit when the meal was not up to its usual standard. The starter sardines were excellent. The lamb main was tasty and tender which my husband had was a big improvement from last time. The fish main was good as well. Excellent Ditchling wine. The service was good thank you. The cost of the meal is expensive

The food was excellent, fresh, full of flavour and well cooked, all very nicely presented. Lovely little venue, relatively quiet for a Saturday night so good for a date night. We did feel slightly rushed as the courses came a bit too quickly for us…but otherwise a very good experience overall.

This was a return visit which was anticipated on the experience of an excellent meal pre the 2 positive reviews when it first opened. The whole evening was far from ideal, to put it mildly, and bitterly disappointing in terms of the quality of food and presentation. Sardines that were full of bones, not ones that could be digested. Monk fish tail that was tough and tasteless. Lamb Rump that was totally underseasoned. It needed help, it got none. A bill that was as eye-watering whilst the food was far from mouth watering. A bitter disappointment and one that will not be repeated. Customers must make their own judgements but when this restaurant opened it was a much needed fillip to restaurants in Lewes. Sadly, it no longer seems to feel the need to try to retain a reputation that probably is no long warranted.

Nice and compact menu, with many shared ingredients, cooked really nicely. Surprised to get a table (actually seats overlooking the cooking) at a couple of days notice, but the restaurant was busy after 19:40 which is good - usd it or lose it, and if you live locally you should definitely not want yo lose it. Bargain midweek offer advertised as well.

What a memorable evening, terrific service, a superb menu, and the presentation and food truly excellent - we enjoyed sitting in front of the kitchen and watching our dishes being prepared, a nice feature. I cannot wait for my next visit to Fork!

What a find - an excellent local restaurant! The food was delicious - plenty of choice despite the understandable limited menu - and the service relaxed as well as efficient. We will certainly be returning!
