Horsforth born, locally renowned, Matt Healy of MasterChef: The Professionals is coming home to Horsforth!

Matt put his own stamp on the Leeds restaurant scene with his now renowned ‘food to swear by’ brand, forging an outstanding reputation for its British cooking; earning a 2020 Michelin Plate and a spot in The Good Food Guide.

Two-Michelin-starred judge of MasterChef Marcus Wareing famously described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted”.

Jay Rayner said in his review published in the Guardian “Bloody hell, that’s good” on tasting Matt’s food; only he didn’t say “Bloody” and he didn’t say “hell”.

Matt has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the hospitality industry’s finest, some of whom will form part of the Forde team; bringing first class service to Horsforth.

Came here for my birthday and really enjoyed all of it. The staff were really friendly and the right level of attentive. The food was excellent and there was only one dish we didn’t fully enjoy which was the broccoli and it was too al dente for all of us. The fish dishes were particularly good and would definitely visit again to try the ones we didn’t this time!

First time visit and definitely won’t be the last! Super restaurant, relaxed atmosphere, great service and amazing food ! The pigs cheek was outstanding and every other dish excellent. Thank you !

Very good small plate meal (yet again). Some real highlights including the soy salmon, pig cheek bourguignon and halloumi and potato. Spicy Margaritas were great. Only disappointment was only 3 desserts on offer and our chosen one (crème brûlée) had run out.

Awesome as usual. The beer was perfect. The service was really good. Oh and the creme brulee was excellent too.

First visit for us. What a gem of a place! In lovely Horsforth, which is always worth the visit. Something for everyone. Really well cooked Beef & Chicken Sunday lunches with Yorks puds and all the trimmings. We ordered a 'Hollyflower' cheese, as an extra side veg dish...delicious..heartily recommend.😋 Great, modern, slightly urban vibe inside the restaurant. Rustic tables and comfortable leather dining chairs. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. All staff were friendly and professional. We will certainly be back. Thank you.😊

Perfect place for a mixed generation group. Every dish we chose, and we chose most on the menu, was superb. Not cheap but then we’re worth it.
