Horsforth born, locally renowned, Matt Healy of MasterChef: The Professionals is coming home to Horsforth!

Matt put his own stamp on the Leeds restaurant scene with his now renowned ‘food to swear by’ brand, forging an outstanding reputation for its British cooking; earning a 2020 Michelin Plate and a spot in The Good Food Guide.

Two-Michelin-starred judge of MasterChef Marcus Wareing famously described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted”.

Jay Rayner said in his review published in the Guardian “Bloody hell, that’s good” on tasting Matt’s food; only he didn’t say “Bloody” and he didn’t say “hell”.

Matt has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the hospitality industry’s finest, some of whom will form part of the Forde team; bringing first class service to Horsforth.

                                    All was good apart from a foreign body in one of the dishes. This was dealt with to my satisfaction. Menu is bit limited

                                    Always love the food here, had a sunday roast for the first time, menu limited but food delicious.

                                    Whilst the food was ok it was lacking in the key ingredients. If I order grilled octopus then it should be more than three inch long pieces with five half potatoes. Is something says it’s with asparagus and chorizo then it’s should be obvious but two pieces of chorizo and three of asparagus is tight. This was the theme of the dishes. Not one to moan but when paying £9 a dish I have expectation.

                                    Have been here for Sunday lunch 3 times. The food is delicious and plentiful. The best Sunday lunch ever. Service from Wendy exceptional. A real personal touch. 5 stars is not enough to praise this little gem

                                    Lovely choice of food with very friendly and timely service - relaxed atmosphere (decor might not be to everyone’s taste) - we liked the small plates / tapas style of eating although Wood preferred a couple of the salad dishes to be out earlier to enjoy with the other things, but that’s just a small negative Definitely great value for the quality of food !
