Horsforth born, locally renowned, Matt Healy of MasterChef: The Professionals is coming home to Horsforth!

Matt put his own stamp on the Leeds restaurant scene with his now renowned ‘food to swear by’ brand, forging an outstanding reputation for its British cooking; earning a 2020 Michelin Plate and a spot in The Good Food Guide.

Two-Michelin-starred judge of MasterChef Marcus Wareing famously described Matt’s sauces as “some of the best he had ever tasted”.

Jay Rayner said in his review published in the Guardian “Bloody hell, that’s good” on tasting Matt’s food; only he didn’t say “Bloody” and he didn’t say “hell”.

Matt has had the pleasure of working alongside some of the hospitality industry’s finest, some of whom will form part of the Forde team; bringing first class service to Horsforth.

Exceptional food served on sharing plates which particularly Wednesday and Thursday is exceptional value-£18 for 3 small plates and a glass of house wine Their baked Camembert platter,Steak plate and Sweetheart cabbage will live long in the memory-we’ll be back!

We have been here a number of times and the service is always outstanding, friendly and professional. The food is unbelievable with an often changing menu which keeps us coming back. The quality is amazing, and the Wednesday and Thursday deal they run is not to be missed. If you’ve not already been, just go, you won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the food doesn't match up to the hype . We ordered Sunday lunch having the mixed beef & chicken option & my wife asked for just chicken . The portions are ridiculously small for money . You get two carrots ,a small Yorkshire pudding, extra veg is £7 ?. The beef was sliced like paper thin & was really fatty,tasteless & no season & the chicken leg. I've seen more meat at kfc . I'm sorry, but charging extra for veg at £24 is a joke . The dessert was okay having a chocolate brownie & myself the creme brule ,which wernt home made more morrisons . Disappointed ,overpriced & overall not quality food . The best thing about the meal was the wine & the service . It's a real shame, but we won't be coming back for sunday lunch .

Our extra veg sides are quite large, and we usually receive compliments on our portion sizes, even from reviews posted from diners on the same day as yourself. We went for Sunday lunch after being recommended by family. The food was excellent, particularly the beef and the nut roast, seasoned perfectly and portions sizes were exactly right. Great choice of wines too. Decor is stylishly urban and the service was friendly and attentive. We'd go again as the tapas menu also looks creative and inviting.

Wonderful experience at the Forde last night. The front of house staff were attentive and offered a warm and friendly service throughout the evening. The food was flawless, Forde is a must if you’re in the area.

All was good apart from a foreign body in one of the dishes. This was dealt with to my satisfaction. Menu is bit limited
