Arriving on time for our reservation, we were promptly seated. When we opened the menu, they had a three-course prix fixe menu with my roommate's name printed on nice paper (a special touch). We ordered: - 5 oz A5 Maesawa Wagyu Ribeye (5 stars) - 8 oz Filet Mignon - 16 oz Ribeye - Sauce Trio: Cabernet Demi-glace, Cognac Peppercorn, and Chimichurri - Bread - Brussels Sprouts - Orange Dreamcicle (tastes like one) - Jalisco Listo - Butterscotch Crème Brûlée The service was excellent, and the ambiance was great; the music had a beat that blended in well with the rest of the environment. The patrons were all 'business casual' or better. The food was cooked and prepared correctly. At one point in the evening, I was content and relaxed and didn't have my usual daily worries bothering me -- it was a nice change. We spent about two hours to get everything, and the restaurant was more full as the night went on (we were there 6p-8p). I recommend this restaurant for your friends, family, or colleagues to enjoy a nice meal and dining experience.

We took my Dad to dinner at Forbes Mill to honor his 90th birthday (we were a party of 4). Forbes Mill had created a personalized menu just for us (Vito's 90th Birthday Dinner) that was inserted into their main menu. As we opened our menus, there was the personalized menu for us! My Dad loved that and felt so special. Such a great touch for Forbes to do and totally unexpected. The food is impeccable and the service excellent. Ambiance was ok/good and only could have been made better by having a city view/landscape and lights to look at but alas that is not the setting in Los Gatos. In any event, this dinner was one to remember and I highly recommend Forbes Mill for a special night out!

Everything was perfect, our waiter was Kevin and he was very social and friendly. The items we ordered were served with nice presentation and plating.

The food was perfect. I loved how tender my filet mignon was from the crispy edges all the way through and how juicy it was. And what impressed me the most was how everything was not over salted. Everything had the perfect and most thoughtful amount if salt in it—just how I like it. Service was also very good. I’ll definitely come back here in the future.

We went for our anniversary. The provided an individual celebration that was very nice, but we decided to go with complete menu choices. The steaks were good but I was a little disappointed in the lobster tail as it was tiny for the price! My husband liked his ribeye very much, stating it was much better than Morton’s!

Ben is a great waiter. Very attentive. He’s waited on us since we started coming to Forbes Mill since 12 years ago. The food has been consistently great. I wish the side vegetables that come with steaks were better tasting and the steak dishes looked more presentable.

We've considered Forbes Mill an outstanding restuarant for special occasions. This was our anniversary dinner. When we walked in dressed nicely the first table I saw had two young adults dressed in white t-shirts and torn jeans. I know things have changed but...The food was good but waaaaay overpriced. My wife's wanted try the sefood risossto since she loves Hells Kitchen and Gordon Ramsey serves great scallops. Her scallops were cooked perfectly, but were a little cold. I told her to let the waiter know. She didn't. But when it came to her prawns, they were just overcooked and hard. She finally made mention to that late in the meal and the waiter brought her 3 more overcooked prawns as we were asking for a box by then. My Dry Aged NY Strip was fantastic. However the $12 baked potato was undercooked and certainly not worth $12. The wedge salad was excellent. The service was fair, but I wish waiters would tell you their name instead of the diners having to ask it. The third time he came to the table with our drinks I asked him his name and he told me. The bus persons were quick in removing the plates from the appetizers which I appreciated. Our waiter finally "crumbed" us after the meal was finished while we asked for the check. That was appreciated. But in the end, a $300 dinner should be better than the experience we had at Forbes Mill this time.
