Honestly our waitress Maria was FANTASTIC. We have been to Fogo at least 50 times over the years. It was my wife's absolute favorite for years. This was our first trip to Jacksonville. We have been to all locations in Chicago Coral Gables, Miami, Plano, TX, Dallas, TX and LA Atmosfere was an A+. Service was an A+. My wife likes well done, I like medium well. They were lacking. They did fix it but we definitely did not get the usual cuts we enjoy with Picanha being our absolute favorite. I also never noticed a floor manager checking on tables. For a $400 tab that is important to me. This is not Chilis. In Florida Terra Gaucha I s our go to. Consistent excellent service. We love the team, the managers know us etc. We sit down and they bring us all our favorites. Only visited Jacksonville once and it was awesome. The GM Ricardo is also a nice guy. We live in Tampa and visit that location at least 4 times a month.

I understand that you don’t necessarily go to a Brazilian steakhouse and order the fish, but I have had a great experience with the Chilean Seabass the last two times I went there. Last nights experience was terrible. The fish jiggled on the plate when they set it down, it was cold, and very unappetizing. I sent it back which I almost never do and they just never showed up again. We had dessert on the table when they attempted to bring my entrée to me. I sent it back and asked that it be taken off the bill, which they were very gracious about. Always considered this restaurant to be high-end and it was incredibly crowded and did not experience a high-end evening. $180 in food and $370 was the bill, definitely don’t plan on ordering drinks 🙄 my daughter asked for a glass of Chardonnay and they bought her a $19 glass without even clarifying what we were looking for. Crazy expensive. I will say that I think the servers works their a$$’s off, they never slowed down even if it was hard to get their attention.

Great service and extensive salad bar. Some of the meat was tough. Out of all house red wines and the bourbon was a small pour and very expensive.

Food was abundant and delicious and service was great. Lindsay was terrific, along with everyone else. We will definitely be returning.

We tried Fogo because we had a coupon. We did not realize (unlike the other Brazilian restaurants we usually go to) there are different menu levels. For the most expensive menu you get Filet and Lamb chops, but you have to ask to have this brought to your table; otherwise, you constantly are offered the cheaper menu options. Our other restaurant brings us a plate for our meat, but we had to go get our own plates from the bar here. Our waitress was pleasant, but we didn't see her most of the night. Someone finally came around to give us water. We'll probably stick with our other restaurant, unless we want to do the cheaper menu.
