Le Fogo de Chão® (prononcé fo-go dèe shoun) est un authentique steakhouse du sud du Brésil. En 1979, le Fogo® a commencé à faire partager les méthodes de préparation de la viande des gauchos à Porto Alegre, au Brésil. Aujourd'hui, les chefs gauchos grillent de façon experte chacune des 20 découpes de viande et vous proposent un service continu à table. A good amount of food for the money, and it was decent. Service could have been quicker. Reservations were overflowing so it took a while to be seated even with a reservation.

Everything was great, except checking in for our reservation. There was a huge crowd surrounding the desk making it impossible to know where the line was, but everything else was amazing.

The whole experience was energetic and fun. Lots of energy, joy, and laughter. The food was delicious and a surprisingly good amount of vegetable meals. A lot of care goes into every small and large portion. The value for what you get is of the highest quality.

For Valentine’s Day it was clear they overbooked the place as there was a large crowd of people all with reservations waiting to check in. That process took 20+ minutes to get through. I also didn’t appreciate how the server poured us bottled still water at $7.50 a bottle without asking us our preference (we would have been fine with tap water). The dinner was satisfying but it feels like Fogo is trying harder than ever to squeeze every possible dollar out of us, which takes away from the experience.

What a mess. Arrived at 6pm for my reservation and waited in line for 30 minutes with other poor frustrated souls. They had 3 young girls managing the crowd as best they could with no support. I felt so sorry for them because we were all frustrated. They had 1 device to check in dozens of guests. Additionally, they need a larger wait area aside from the seats in front of the windows. They literally have tables next to check in. Horrible. People waiting to be seated are LITERALLY bumping in to guests trying to have dinner. Staff was overwhelmed and our waiter never brought out the sides like fried yuca, mash etc. worse experience I’ve had in a VERY LONG TIME.

Very nice dinner, food was great, but we were offered tequila shots which unbeknownst to us cost $47 each! So if anyone comes around offering drinks, stay away!
