Le Fogo de Chão® (prononcé fo-go dèe shoun) est un authentique steakhouse du sud du Brésil. En 1979, le Fogo® a commencé à faire partager les méthodes de préparation de la viande des gauchos à Porto Alegre, au Brésil. This was the worst experience we’ve had at Fogo. I normally love the place but this time was different. The server gave us a choice of Taste of Brazil($40) or full($65). We chose full because of the specific meats that we wanted. Throughout the night we waited for meat. They rarely brought it around. And when they did it was not the choices off the full menu. We had to wait for drinks and pretty much everything we needed. They didn’t offer us clean plates either. Also in the beginning the guy asked if we were celebrating and I told him it was my wife’s 40th birthday. He said they would bring a dessert at the end. When we were done we waited forever. Finally the guy came over and just brought the check and disappeared. No dessert and when I put my card in he didn’t come back to get it. Not sure why but the service was the worst I’d seen. Definitely not worth the price we paid.

The last time I’ve been to Fogo de Chao was 2017 prior to COVID. The quality of the food has gone down in my opinion. They would only bring out cheaper meat. We had to ask for the filet, ribeye, ribs, and the chicken. They kept bringing by the top and bottom sirloin. Some of the bread they brought out was cold. The mashed potatoes weren’t creamy like I’ve had before. They were restocking the salad bar. However, the drinks were strong. I would rather go to Steak 48 for $250 for two people.

I feel first of all I am realizing now that Open Tables $$ values on their web site is very off. This what is like a buffet type meal was way more expensive than we expected. The meat & chicken served was good but other than that it really is a buffet. Open table said $$ and $30 and under but that is highly inaccurate from the menu & what is offered.

We absolutely love this location. We actually drive almost 4 hours to come here because the food is always delicious and the staff is incredible. We have a FOGO that is only an hour from our home but we always choose this Chicago location!

The quality of the food is good but the service is really poor. We had the waiter come once and never refilled our soft drinks
