Le Fogo de Chão® (prononcé fo-go dèe shoun) est un authentique steakhouse du sud du Brésil. En 1979, le Fogo® a commencé à faire partager les méthodes de préparation de la viande des gauchos à Porto Alegre, au Brésil. Aujourd'hui, les chefs gauchos grillent de façon experte chacune des 20 découpes de viande et vous proposent un service continu à table. Took forever for our waiter to bring us our diet cokes we ordered when we first sat.

PROS: Reservations were at 7:30. We were checked in and sat right away. CONS: I waited approximately 30 mins to get my first drink (cucumber mint smash). The meat being brought out was lukewarm…. Which had both my friend and I feeling sick later that night. You’re better off dining next door at wildfire for quality steak and in my opinion a better dining experience. Also, I’ve previously dined at the Oakbrook & Rosemont location. This is my first time at the downtown location and I can say my experiences were great at the 2 suburb locations — perhaps it was just an off Tuesday for them.

Made a reservation at 9PM to celebrate Veterans Day with my boyfriend who served in the Marine Corp, had to make a late reservation because my boyfriend worked and had school so it was a late dinner, got there about 10 minutes early and were seated right away. Meats were coming out quickly and were tasty up until about 9:30 when we were told they were going to start to take the salad bar down. After that almost no meat was coming around. That was unfortunate seeing as the restaurant closes at 10. I’ve worked in the service industry and understand workers may want to go home and I’m not the type to stay past closing time, but really wish we would’ve had access to the meat and salad bar until then.. Also, was really excited for filet mignon that only came once right before we left and had already ordered dessert. We normally don’t have dinner this late, but wanted to celebrate my boyfriend’s service. Ended up being an almost $200 dinner and we still left a little hungry. ):

Service for not liking a drink…. Not the greatest. Received pushed back for wanting to just exchange it and grab wine…..Celebrating my birthday and doing that… Not the best impression. And then, at the end they forgot to comp that drink and then still charged me for the last wine I had, after giving us the bill. At that point, the restaurant should’ve just comped the wine glass. However, rest of the dinner went great and my guests and I had a great time.

The experience was not described accurately leaving many patrons in confusion as to how much food we’d actually be receiving. The servers rarely came by after the last meat was served and refused to give us a bar menu when we asked to see one. They were a bit rude when we asked if that was the end of the experience. The appetizers were not very tasty and the meat was overcooked. I would not book this experience again.

El servicio, a diferencia de otras visitas, no fue tan bueno. Tardaron en atendernos y tuvimos que esperar más de 30 minutos a que nos sirvieran unas caipiriñas siendo que las pedimos como aperitivo.

La carne quemada, solo me sirvieron 5 tipos de carne y tardaban mucho en pasar con las espadas. El peor Fogo de Chao que conozco, nada que ver con los de Brasil o México
