Sunday brunch wasn't crowded. There were a couple of large parties seated about as far away from the kitchen as possible and we were seated in the middle of the dining room. The gauchos were practically running to the large parties. While I had plenty of food for as long as I wanted, my husband found the service to be slow. He waited a bit for clean plates and meats. All the food was awesome. The introduction to the experience was clear and welcome. The ambience is a bit more family oriented than the competitive Brazilian steakhouse in downtown Minneapolis. Our daughter had the Pineapple Mint Lemonade - it was awesome. We generally skip the hot buffet but the scalloped potatoes were a "don't miss" item. The bill is always a bit of a shock but it's a definite special occasion meal.

Entering the dining hall was captivating. Large wooden crossing beams overhead gave a pagoda effect over the dining area with lots of appropriate lighting. You could see up to the roof above the beams giving a sense of great height over the dining room. It was a huge area filled with cloth covered tables, black cloth napkins, and other table decor. The entire dining area gave a glowing essence of sparkling upscale richness. At the left end of the room was a beautiful salad bar area with many attractive salad items setting in a see of white ice. It was quite large and very eye catching. To the left of that, along an extended table, were many hot dish containers attractively arranged. We were told they contained dishes to go with the meat, such as potatoes, rice and bean dishes, and other hot side dishes. After we ordered our cocktails and wine, we were told we could choose our salad items at the salad bar and repeat a visit there as often as we liked. There were many dishes that were all delicious. The only disappointment was that they were out of the Argentinian Malbec red wine I wanted and the waiter brought out a Californian red Malbec instead. I accepted it and was pleased that it was quite pleasant, though a bit sweeter than the usual Argentinian version. Still, nonetheless, quite nice. A basket of interesting white bread rolls, with a fascinating texture, was on the table. I loved those! We were also given a small card to place on our table. The red side was to be placed up if we did not want meat at that moment, and the green side up if we did want to try meat. Then, as the array of meats held by waiters holding tall poles of meats parade by, you simply indicate which meat you want to try. So many to choose from: steak of all types, beef ribs (one of my favorites), lamb, filet minion, sausages, pork ribs, and best of all to compliment all the meat and other menu items, was fresh roasted pineapple. We couldn't even get to dessert! Splendid, delicious meal.

All employees from the hostess, waiter and servers were kind, polite and super fast. I recommend this place for the service and of course the food.

The service the food the ambiance was amazing! The meat was cooked wonderfully. The food was five star quality. The salad bar had a nice array of choices. Very spendy, but worth it.

Experience went here for my birthday. They were exceptionally fast. Meat was done. Perfection salad bar was perfect. Gave me a dessert for my bday. such a wonderful experience.

Friday lunch for my friend's birthday. As usual, the salad bar was good, with a nice variety and fresh. Service was outstanding, again, as I've come to expect. It was nearly empty, maybe 3-4 other tables total. The salad bar is an excellent choice for lunch during the week but $25 is high. I'd suggest they run some specials on Friday for lunch and reduce the cost for the salad bar only option. I believe they'd see many more customers and get them curious about coming back for dinner. Also, perhaps an option for Friday's lunch for a more limited meat selection which could reduce costs for the restaurant and customer. Until we see the economy come back, it's a bit high priced for a regular visit but I think many of us would come more often for lunch, even with some selection limitations, if it was less expensive for lunch.

I love the combined servers/staff approach. You are always taken care of at all times. Always a pleasant and amazing time at Fogao. The owner is BEYOND AMAZING, attentive, caring and always on the ready to accommodate your request. Love coming to Fogao. The meats were a tad under seasoned (first time that has ever happened), however, everything was spot on. Go to Fogao... You will have an amazing time.

Excellent customer service, great food, lots of choices at the salad bar, steaks and other meats fantastic. It was a great experience. Highly recommend.
