Outstanding - the staff was professional and attentive. You can tell that they enjoy their work. Molly was our server. She was knowledgable about the menu and a very delightful personality. One of our new favorite places!

Wow really impressed. Great drinks, amazing food, service was outstanding. Will for sure be back. Gotta try that spicy watermelon oyster shooter, it’s so tight.

I ordered the special baked oysters. They were delicious but I was expecting a much larger oyster. These oysters were about 3/4”long. (There were 6 of them). They were served alone with no crackers so I was still hungry. I looked for something on the menu that would be quick to supplement ~ hummus. By the time it got there my husband had completely finished his meal of a seafood platter and a cup of chowder. My drink(club soda) was never refilled the entire time we were there. ‘ My husband’s fried platter was fabulous. The breading was a “tempura type” The noise level was not good. We sat on the opposite side of the restaurant and I could make out what a man at the bar was saying to his companion. There were also more children there than I expected. Not sure where our waitress was the entire time. I kept looking for her to refill my drink but she was no where to be found. The food is very good but not sure we’ll go back. The poor service left a bad taste in my mouth.

Excellent service. Beers are top notch. Love the vibe. Seafood was fresh. Best restaurant in Wrightsville.

We had six people for dinner and enjoyed drinks and appetizers. In fact, Monday night oysters were only a dollar for local raw oysters. Very good ! I had the shrimp and grits with pimento cheese. It was quite tasty and the shrimp were tender. The crabcake was wonderful lots of crab and good flavor. Oh and I’d Highly recommend the peach spritz drink. I would definitely come back for return trip

Great place for drinks and oysters! The crab cakes and shrimp n grits were great. They just needed a little more salt.

This is our 2nd visit to the Flying Machine Oyster Bar. Like our 1st trip in September 2023, our experience was phenomenal. The oysters were definitely fresh and the preparation was spot on. We ordered the smash burger and like the oysters, the burger was very tasty. Hannah was our server and she was wonderful. She was very personable and attentive. In fact, kudos to the entire staff. FMOB is our definite go to when we visit Wilmington!
