We are excited to announce that we are now accepting reservations for the opening of Flour & Thyme, the sister restaurant to Anhelo by Chef Ivan Jacobo. Join us as we open December 7th at the Orpheum Lofts at Anhelo’s previous home. Flour & Thyme is a love letter from chef to Downtown Phoenix, on what he considers the perfect restaurant for downtown.

This is the first ever Henri Boillot wine dinner in AZ paired with an incredible menu to showcase these incredible treasures. The evening will consist of an array of wines from their portfolio featuring both white & red burgundies including premier and grand cru wines paired with mouthwatering courses for you to marvel and excite the senses. This may be the one of the most epic dinners in Arizona - if you have wanted to learn more about Burgundy or just to experience one of the best expressions, this is the venue.

    One of the most internationally recognized winemakers whose resume includes: Screaming Eagle, Tusk, Dalla Valle, Dana Estates, Vice Versa, Fairchild, Zakin, La Pelle, Lail, etc! Maayan Koschitzky, head of winemaking for Philippe Melka's cult wineries, will take us through La Pelle wines which is recognized as the highest quality price ratio (QPR) in Napa Valley (entry to reserve). The wines are incredible - his first release from 2016 sold out in 24 hours! The round lush tannins that Melka wines are known for but dials back overripe fruit bombs to craft something truly special- bringing the best of both worlds up & down the portfolio. Bordeaux styled Sauv blanc, Chablis styled Chardonnay, Napa Cabernets with a nod towards Bordeaux.

    This restaurant had the perfect vibe . The food was cooked to perfection. We had the tomahawk steak with mole sauce and the wood fried branzino fish . The chef made us a very unique corn base dessert that was just fantastic ! I recommend this gem !

    We were so lucky to have found this beautiful little place. Service was amazing! We both had the chicken and it was delicious and plentiful! I would highly recommend this place!!!

    Being from the restaurant industry, I am careful with reviews. I understand the challenges. Here are a couple observations: Several dishes were not available, not sure why, other than they were “sold out” despite very few diners. The sea bass was poached and very good. Lasagna was rather bland and not even hot. Not OK. Staff were great. Definitely some kitchen issues. Close to getting it right, but not there in overall package.

    Flour & Thyme is a gem in Phoenix! The food was absolutely delicious, and the cocktails and wine were amazing—perfectly crafted and paired wonderfully with our meal. We tried the Chef’s Sampler menu, which showcased a variety of dishes. While everything was beautifully presented and tasted fantastic, we had hoped for more unique creations specific to the sampler menu, rather than smaller versions of regular menu items. What really stood out was the staff—they were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, offering great recommendations and making us feel welcome throughout the evening. Overall, a wonderful experience with top-notch food, drinks, and service. Highly recommend!

    2nd time back here in a week, and truly can’t get enough of Flour and Thyme. The food, ambience, service is incredible. I can’t wait to make my next reservation!

    This was literally the best meal we have had in a very long time and possibly the best steak we have ever had. Highly recommend!

    Words do not do this restaurant justice. While only two visits so far, this has became our absolute favorite restaurant from the killer wine list and price points, fanatic food and service. Just awesome! The Chawanmushi might be my new favorite dish with caviar might be better than what we had at the French Laundry! The two homemade pasta dishes were fantastic! And the dry aged with mushroom potato risotto was insane.

    I've enjoyed Anhelo a few times and wanted to enjoy a fine dining experience before leaving on a month long trip. I saw that they were offering a 'grand opening' of Flour & thyme with very little else to go on. We gave it a try and were pretty disappointed! We arrived at our allotted time and were told that we'd be waiting for a guest (not with our group) stuck in traffic. We waited more than 30 mins for this person to arrive! Once the food started coming out, I was only moderately pleased with the quality and presentation. Usually this restaurant blows us away with every aspect of the dining experience. This visit was certainly an exception. The food wasn't bad nor was the service. But, I could easily go across the street to Wren & Wolf and enjoy equal (or better) for considerable less with the same level of customer service. The wine pairings were pretty spot on though, so we were all thankful for that. Overall not terribly pleased with this visit. Lets hope it doesnt happen again.
