Flint takes a unique approach to the modern dining experience, with our open kitchen and bar on the first floor, personable dining and open fire cooking. We provide an experience like no other in Fitzroy. Everything on the menu is cooked over an open fire in the middle of the restaurant creating unique flavours that cannot be found anywhere else.

The food was absolutely brilliant, far beyond expectations. Every dish was better than the last. The burnt lettuce with anchovy and pistachio was one of the best side dishes I've tasted anywhere and the porterhouse steak was definitely the most tender steak I've ever had, and cooked to perfection. The service was good, staff served us our food in a timely and polite manner. They were attentive enough that we didn't have to wait for drinks etc. We were a bit disappointed that we booked a table but were seated at the bar, at least just a note beforehand mentioning this would be nice. Overall though it was a very positive experience.

Broken Toilet. Lack water being regularly served/topped up. Lack of table wipe down when dirty. Was provided with sticky cutlery with dessert. Food was mediocre at best, not sure why serving a fish with that many bones seems like a good idea for the customer to experience - probably best suited for street food.

Do it! Sit at the bar if you can and take it all in! The food is incredible, without doubt one of the best steaks I've ever eaten. The Carrot Carrot is a masterpiece! And Scallop Tataki is a perfect balance of flavours. Nicky, the chef is a wizard of the open flame.

Great food, amazing service, one of my fav places. Value for money, given quality of food, is great. One of the few places we usually the whole menu (like yesterday), anything would taste great. I generally do not like vegetables, but their carrot transformed my taste and palette::) Cannot recommend more. Enjoy
