The food was absolutely delicious as were the drinks. We got the Thai mussels and the bangcock mussels. We also did 8 east coast oysters which were amazing. We will definitely be back

Made my reservation on open table I had to wait for a table for two But A weatherman from nbc got a table for four for only himself and another person This has not happened previously Food and service is always excellent but this was Not nice

Such a fun place. We loved the service and the oysters. We really enjoyed having a Long Island sparkling wine with our mussels. Highly recommend

Our server was great. But the host and the manager obviously don’t know what hospitality is about. Used to be my favorite place in Upper East side. Food is great, but staff is extremely unfriendly so no desire to ever come back. The restaurant was half empty and they didn’t let my friend sit at the table without me ( I was running late), neither offered to wait at the bar and made her wait outside.

UES reality. Flex Mussels has relocated to a pleasant storefront on Third Avenue. The mussels and broths are still well-prepared and delicious. Donuts still available for dessert. Still impossibly loud. The wait staff is competent and courteous. But I looked at a couple at a nearby table sharing a bottle of wine on a quiet date on a Tuesday and thought how overpriced that check was going to be. Everything here is somewhat overpriced, especially the wine list. This is not a place to be enjoyed by someone with working-for-a-living money concerns.

The food overall was great. The mussels were good, though next time I would go with a different sauce than the Thai curry which I think could have been more flavorful. Eggs benedict and french toast were delicious, and the everything donuts were standout. Service left some to be desired however we still enjoyed the ambiance for a slow-paced brunch outside.

Lovely first visit though Father’s Day lunch is perhaps not the best time/way to judge a restaurant.
