Nestled in the picturesque village of Lowonsford, on the banks of the Stratford Canal, between winding country roads that used to be part of the Forest of Arden, The Fleur De Lys is the very best kind of country pub. Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its C16th wooden beams, The Fleur is a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise in the summer. There are so many tiny wonders packed into this historic building that you will always find something new to fall in love with when you visit. Our garden boasts an acre of land to run riot on and a low level wooden children’s playground, alongside over 30 tables and benches. We’re ideally situated for walkers and ramblers who wish to explore the canal towpath or a variety of local walks. If you’re intending on zooming through this part of Warwickshire on a bicycle, The Fleur makes an excellent intermediary watering hole to fortify you for the ride ahead.

My first visit to the Fleur de Lys was a fabulous experience all round. Plenty of parking space and outdoor seating. My 3 friends and I had Sunday lunch there and although the pub was extremely busy, the service was timely & the staff were friendly and cheerful. There were plenty of choices on the menu. Two of us had the roast pork which they enjoyed and my one friend and I had their famous pies. My squash,spinach and goat cheese pie was delicious and great value for money. A huge plateful. I shall definitely eat there again. Well worth the 30 minute drive from home.

We hadn’t been to the Fleur for quite some time, service was great , lovely smiley polite young people serving us. Little dissapointed with the menu l prefer the winter menu. So many things have garlic in them these days, I had good old scampi which was lovely Overall we enjoyed our visit, I love the fleur it still has that lovely old pub feel to it.

Great location. Booked when we were 150 miles away and was able to easily move the reservation back half an hour when motorway traffic took a toll. Beautiful surroundings matched by stunning beautifully kept buildings. Friendly helpful staff and quick service and great food. Pies are great.

Friendly atmosphere, good service and great food. The Hake on the specials list was outstanding. We are going back in the next few days.

We are lucky enough to live near this delightful old pub which is at the side of a canal and has lovely garden with okay area. The food is usually very good. The service is usually exceptional. However - if the car park is full and the gardens are busy expect a wait. Last Sunday (very sunny) this was the case. We decided to eat inside and had to wait an hour for our food. We were told that there was no Cauliflower Cheese left and although I ordered the seared tuna / I was actually served pan fried sea bass. The fish however was delicious and in addition they reduced the bill appropriately. All in all - always a great experience at the Fleur de Lys ……slightly less so if the car park is full. But it’s our local and we love it!

My wife and I both chose the gammon which is normally exceptionally good but on this occasion my wife had to send hers back as she couldn’t cut through it, I realise with gammon it can be unknown quantity, it was taken off the bill so we couldn’t complain.
