Nestled in the picturesque village of Lowonsford, on the banks of the Stratford Canal, between winding country roads that used to be part of the Forest of Arden, The Fleur De Lys is the very best kind of country pub. Packed full of quaint charm and quirky corners beneath its C16th wooden beams, The Fleur is a cosy haven in the winter and an extensive paradise in the summer. There are so many tiny wonders packed into this historic building that you will always find something new to fall in love with when you visit. Our garden boasts an acre of land to run riot on and a low level wooden children’s playground, alongside over 30 tables and benches. We’re ideally situated for walkers and ramblers who wish to explore the canal towpath or a variety of local walks. If you’re intending on zooming through this part of Warwickshire on a bicycle, The Fleur makes an excellent intermediary watering hole to fortify you for the ride ahead.

Visited on Sunday at 5.30pm as booked for inside table but there were no roasts available. Pie was good but wanted roast beef dinner.

Always like the FdL and I applaud them for maximizing business on good days, but on this occasion the kitchen was beyond its limits. From our arrival to our food - mains only - being served took over an hour. The waiting staff looked very busy but it seems to be the delay in order coming out of the kitchen that was the issue, and not only for us. We could see other diners experiencing the same delays. We were a table of 6. We'll be back though.

The food was lovely. The only problem was that the table we were given was in a passageway which made it difficult with the dog as he had to move out of the way of people coming past. But we had a great evening otherwise.

Fantastic visit to Fleur de Lys. Arrived late afternoon on a sunny afternoon and the beer garden was very busy. Little quieter within pub. Served quickly at bar and when taking food order (table service). Had award winning steak & Stilton pie, Wild mushroom and asparagus pie and rainbow trout off the specials board. Food was excellent and arrived in good time. Also bought 8 pies to take away they were so good! Staff were very friendly and attentive and chatted to us about the local area. Beautiful location. Will definitely revisit.

Had a Great meal even though the Fleur was extremely busy food was served in no time at all and Staff even though they were busy still had time to give us a friendly welcome.

This was birthday lunch for my husband. Reserved table was lovely excellent food and good choice of wine.

Very nice destination venue, with a lovely canalside lication. A nice varied menu, with specials, including a good range of pies, and all very tasty. Friendly welcome, and good service all round.

Having dined at the Fleur de Lys for a number of years, the meals that we've had on our last two visits have been disappointing. Yesterday we had the fish and chips and were somewhat surprised at the size of the plates on which the meals were served. At best they looked oversized side plates so the fish had to be placed on top of the chips and the mushy peas squeezed on the side. Whilst we had no complaints with the quality of the food, the portion size and presentation led a lot to be desired. This is such a shame as the food always used to be well presented and served in ample portions. For the price charged, the meal didn't represent value for money.
