Fixins is a full service soul food restaurant that celebrates the history and traditions of African American culture in an inclusive environment that welcomes everyone! We’re located in the historic Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento California in the 40 Acres Cultural complex at the corner of Broadway and 35th Street.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, the vibe is chill, the customer service is amazing, and the atmosphere is like family! Definitely one of my favorite places to eat in Sac!

Fried chicken was wonderful as were the sides. Caesar salad was overdressed. Would not order again. Servers seemed overwhelmed . They made several mistakes on our order. When I asked for another plate because we were 3 people eating from two plates. It took forever. I finally asked another server. I would go back for the fried chicken.

It was a later than usual night dinner for me. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The service was on point and the atmosphere was welcoming. I found the cost to be reasonable.

The service was excellent. We had gumbo and oxtail. On this visit both were underseasoned. The gumbo was extra watery and the shrimp with it bland. The staff was attentive and welcoming.
