I’ve dined here a few times before and always have a great experience. My go-to items are two wings and a waffle, the Mac and cheese, and the red beans and rice. I also enjoy the cocktails and that they show sporting events such as Monday Night Football and Lakers games.

My girls requested fixings for our Christmas Adventure meal. We enjoyed the food and ambience. They always amaze me with how quickly the food comes, how hot the food is, and how consistently good the food is. LOVE IT!

I ordered chicken wings and two waffles for breakfast and the wings were not fully cooked. The waffles were good though.

The food and service was great! My only complaint is that the music is too loud. It's hard to have a conversation with anyone at your table

AMAZING SOUL FOOD!! Our party of 4 tasted so many delicious meals. For starters we tried the fried deviled eggs and fish bites both 🔥. Next up was the gumbo, uptown salad with double grilled shrimp with a side of greens, chicken & waffles, shrimp & grits and the fried catfish plate with grits. EVERYTHING WAS COOKED TO PERFECTION!!! We also tasted the candied yams, mac n cheese and black eyed peas all 🔥 as well. For drinks we ordered a Dirty Martini and Rose Martini absolute perfection. This place is perfect for large or small groups and an excellent choice for dinner prior to attending Crypto. You can not go wrong dining here. Also our waiter AARON was thee best with his recommendations and service. 5⭐️'s for sure Fixins

I have been to this restaurant several times, but this by far was the least enjoyable experience. It wasn't crowded, but service was slower than usual. The red kool-aid adult drink was entirely too sweet. I had to send it back. I was joined by a first timer and unfortunately, his meal was less than the quality I expected. The oxtails were too fatty, the greens had too many stems, and the cornbread muffin was less than fresh. The flavors were all there, but something was definitely off. I ordered the chicken and waffle. The waffle was embarrassingly thin. Just not what I expected.

For me, this is hands down the best southern food in Los Angeles. Their Fried Chicken, either plain or smothered in gravy, is outstanding. The sides are perfect complements to the dishes. If you are going to an event in LA Live (or you just have a hankering for some great southern cooking), this is the place.
