I had a reservation for 2:45 and didn’t get seated until almost 3:30. This came after me going to the host’s stand multiple times. I kept being told the table was being cleaned, when the reality is the host team was unorganized and decided to seat people who came in after my group of 3 without a reservation. The food was good but the service left more to be desired. I also realized after the fact that I was double charged for an item. Overall, not a pleasurable experience and although the food was/is good, the negative outweighed its quality.

I love the restaurant, but the music is always too loud for me. If loud music while dining is an issue for you, this isn’t a place you should consider. However, I endure the annoyance of the loud music for the sake of the food. The atmosphere and vibe appear to be enjoyed by those dining. The food is literally the only reason I go to this restaurant.

It’s all ways a good time with great staff. I hate I could not travel with my Peach Cobbler but it would be great to have that shipped over to AZ through GoldBelly or another service.

The food was delicious! We went to another place for brunch and we were told it was going to an hour wait and they had no where for us to wait inside! So we would have to stand outside in very very hot weather for almost an hour. Thankfully Fixins Soul Kitchen came to the rescue. We were able to make a reservation and once we got to the restaurant we were immediately seated! Again the food was delicious! The only thing we didn’t like were the red beans and rice. They were very watery. The music was also kind of loud, but not so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk. They did have a DJ so maybe that’s something they do on Saturdays. I would definitely come back again though!

Food came out really quick. Service was great from the guy opening door till we left. Corn bread , shrimp and grits and Fried Chicken 10/10
