The bus boy (Johnny) was cleaning the table next to ours and swiped the hot sauce onto the floor. I felt something poke me in the leg and when I looked down there was hot sauce all over my leg and shoes. Not only did I have a piece of glass cut my leg, I also had hot sauce splatter all over my brand new Air force Ones. When I reported it to the server she came back to the table and said the manager would like to offer you a free desert. I don’t know what’s worse, the manager who failed to come to our table with concern or the insult of a free desert. This is the type of poor customer service that ruined my Sunday..

I’m proud of myself for being organized enough to do research about restaurants prior to arriving in town for a conference. I’m patting myself for finding this jewel and making a reservation in advance! The fried chicken was wonderful, it was served piping hot, well-seasoned, and a good crunch. The greens were spot on; very reminiscent of what I’d find down south. The mac and cheese was a bit of a disappointment, but it was okay. Don’t miss the fried green tomatoes; so yummy. The peach cobbler was perfect. The service was good and food arrived pretty quickly. There was a DJ playing, but the music wasn’t too loud. The atmosphere felt like eating at someone’s home; comfortable and extremely hospitable.

Always enjoy the environment there when I have lunch... coolest experience was when Kevin Johnson himself was there at the restaurant and said hello to me and my table guest. Service is always good and the food is always hot. Loved the deviled eggs and the fried green tomatoes' for the appetizer and the gumbo was tasty.

Friendly, fast service, gumbo was a hit with my teen kids, everything tasted amazing. Maybe don’t get the sweet tea if you like subtle sweetness!

Went here on a Tuesday evening not very busy at all sat at the bar had a nice drink nice atmosphere tasty food most certainly would go back if I'm ever in this city again

The food is always delicious and I appreciate the presentation. Weekends are busy that’s to be expected overall it was a nice eating experience.
