I’m proud of myself for being organized enough to do research about restaurants prior to arriving in town for a conference. I’m patting myself for finding this jewel and making a reservation in advance! The fried chicken was wonderful, it was served piping hot, well-seasoned, and a good crunch. The greens were spot on; very reminiscent of what I’d find down south. The mac and cheese was a bit of a disappointment, but it was okay. Don’t miss the fried green tomatoes; so yummy. The peach cobbler was perfect. The service was good and food arrived pretty quickly. There was a DJ playing, but the music wasn’t too loud. The atmosphere felt like eating at someone’s home; comfortable and extremely hospitable.

Always enjoy the environment there when I have lunch... coolest experience was when Kevin Johnson himself was there at the restaurant and said hello to me and my table guest. Service is always good and the food is always hot. Loved the deviled eggs and the fried green tomatoes' for the appetizer and the gumbo was tasty.

Went here on a Tuesday evening not very busy at all sat at the bar had a nice drink nice atmosphere tasty food most certainly would go back if I'm ever in this city again

The food is always delicious and I appreciate the presentation. Weekends are busy that’s to be expected overall it was a nice eating experience.

If you enjoy tasty, delicious soul food then Fixins is the place to visit. Our party of 8 ordered just about everything on the menu and it was all scrumptious. Catfish, gumbo, fried chicken, oxtails, fried deviled eggs, so yummy. We even made room for those amazing desserts. I’ve used them for large scale catering and visit often.

Incredible food. The best, friendliest service. An incredible, friendly vibe. I went three times in my one week in LA because it was so good. Highly recommend.

I loved it. I’m still a visitor to the Los Angeles experience and I usually have soul food when I’m here. Loved the okra with bacon. Chicken was great. Staff and customers were all in a great mood. Park in the building before 5 to get discounted parking.
