Fried chicken didn’t have much flavor, red beans and rice were good. Shrimp grits had clumps that were hard, fried fish was good however, candied yams lacked flavor. Side note, our food came from the kitchen lukewarm. The ambiance is very loud between music playing and large parties. We were seated off the main restaurant area and we were pretty cramped in this little area. Overall, food was decent however, not decent enough to go back.

Our server, Chassidy, was personable, attentive, efficient, and as cute as one would want for the girl next door‼️And BTW, the food was excellent ❤️

I enjoyed Fixins, I have heard about it for a long time but never had an opportunity to go and sit down to enjoy the food. I am very happy to say now I have and I Loved it all.

Even though we had a reservation, we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. Some tables were lingering and just chatting after dinner.

Restaurant Review I recently had the pleasure of dining at this spot, and I can confidently say it offers a winning combination of good service, delicious food, and reasonable prices. The staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The food was the real highlight. The oxtails were flavorful and cooked to perfection, and the catfish nuggets were absolutely a standout—I highly recommend them! The mac and cheese was creamy and comforting, exactly as it should be. For dessert, the peach cobbler had an abundance of crispy crust, which I loved, though it leaned a bit on the sweeter side for my taste. One unique dish that stood out was the fried deviled eggs—different but incredibly tasty! Overall, this restaurant delivers on all fronts. If you’re looking for a satisfying meal with a great variety of dishes, this place is worth a visit. I’ll definitely be back!

This was the first time I have been to Fixin's. I have been trying to go there before Laker games for several years and finally made a reservation. First off is that sometimes with celebrity owned places you think it is going to be great and then get disappointed. Not here as Kevin Johnson somehow has really made sure his place stays true to who and what it is all about. The quality of the food was outstanding as well as the service and the price was on point as well. Large portions, and just great overall. The sides were on the spicy side but that is my preference. Don't let that deter you, just a heads up. Can't wait for my next Laker game as I am going back, and it will now be my go to before games.
