Delicious food and wonderful atmosphere! We had the fish sandwich with side salad! Robust side salad with caesar dressing- yesss! A fish platter with mac n cheese and greens and hushpuppies was sooo good! The oxtails were delectable, too!

Our recent family outing to Fixin’s Soul Kitchen was enjoyable overall, though it had its ups and downs. Starting with the positives, the food arrived in a decent amount of time, and the waitress did an excellent job ensuring our experience was smooth. She quickly addressed an issue with one of our items, which was much appreciated. The energy in the restaurant was lively, and I liked that reservations were required—it made the process of getting seated feel more organized. On the downside, the location isn’t ideal. Being downtown, parking is a nightmare—scarce and expensive, with fees of $20 or more. Compared to the Fixin’s in Sacramento, this location felt a bit tighter in terms of seating. While the atmosphere was fun and energetic, the noise level was pretty high, which might not be for everyone. I also missed the kool-aid ice cubes that the Sacramento location offers, a unique touch that adds charm. Lastly, the portion sizes were modest, consistent with what I’ve come to expect from Fixin’s. While they aren’t overly generous, the food quality does make up for it. Overall, Fixin’s delivered a good experience, but some aspects, like parking and the seating layout, could be improved. It’s worth a visit if you’re in the mood for flavorful Southern cuisine and don’t mind a bit of hustle to get there.

Fixins is always a wonderful experience. The staff is always nice and the service is great! Highly recommend this place if you’re in the mood for a good Sol food!

Absolutely amazing!!! This restaurant is a must try. Everything was delicious and the service was good. A little slow but we also went at a busy time.

Everything we had was delicious. Fried green tomatoes, fried chicken, Mac and cheese, biscuits, cornbread, potato salad, etc.

Reservations are pointless. You’ll wait forever. Be prepared! Foods comes almost too fast though lol

The food did not disappoint. I had catfish, grits with gravy and eggs. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent, our server Mel, was nice and provided wonderful service. Also the food was served hot and pretty quick. The only criticism I have is maybe turn down the music. It was on the loud side. Everything else was great 😊
