I think we’ve gotten caught up in the hype of this place. The so-called soul food (specifically the Mac and cheese) was a little less than what my mouth anticipated; it just wasn’t good. I don’t think that I will return to this establishment or recommend it.

The waffle was cold, the fried green tomatoes breading was hard, and outside it being salty, there wasn't any flavor. My sons hamburger was just okay.

Food was great! Quick service, and everyone was happy with what they got. Drinks were good as well. We had a reservation and got seated pretty quickly.

Being that the food here is very delightful. I was very disappointed that the fact that I had a reservation still got there at 9:35 and I wasn’t seated at my table until 10 o’clock. My reservation was 945 each time I checked in with the hostess, it seems as though she forgot who I was and had to keep asking me my name and who I was again. I find that very unprofessional and tasteful now I know if I would like to come here again. I definitely wouldn’t be coming at night because apparently it turns into a nightclub at night the music the noise was so loud I couldn’t have a decent conversation nor, even have a train of thought and there’s a bouncer at the door. Don’t forget that this is a nightclub at night won’t be coming back for a while at all.

We’ve been to the Sacramento location a bunch so decided to try this one out since it’s only 30 minutes from us. First off the staff was extremely nice and went above and beyond. The only criticism I have is that it’s flavorful but Sacramento has more flavoring in their sides. I definitely will be coming

Oxtails were phenomenal I had greens as a side and let’s just say I didn’t share with my husband. We also had the smothered chicken but put the gravy on the side (just preference) and it was amazing. Side dishes were the mac and yams. We left satisfied and nothing disappointed. We would def continue to be returning customers. Love supporting black owned businesses.
