The food was amazing and the service was great! The only negative was that it was very bright in there, but the food outweighed any negative comment.

Our server Keke took very good care of us. The food was delicious and I can’t wait to dine there again

We love the food and the service was great. The only disappointment with this visit was the seating. I made a reservation weeks ago for 8 people. One has a walker, another person is a big person. We were seated in a booth, rather than a longer table. It was pretty crowded and downright uncomfortable. But the food was good!

This was my first time here. I’m from Pittsburgh, PA and I come to Detroit to visit family at least 2-3 times a year. I been looking for a good soul food spot here in Detroit and I think I found it. Food was good. I had the fried deviled eggs for an appetizer which was delicious. My main coarse was fried chicken which was seasoned good, collard green and Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese noodles was a little over cooked but the cheeses used to make it made it still taste good. The only complaint I have is our server. I wouldn’t really call it a complaint but we had to wave our server down to take our order. After we got our appetizer she didn’t come back to check on us to take our order. Other than that everything was good. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed everything that was ordered! Fried Chicken, Oxtails, Mac &cheese, yams, greens,& black eyed peas. Our server Chyna was fantastic and such a sweetheart! We will return!🥰

Food and service was great as usual, I always get the oxtails and this time I tried the red beans and rice, and they did not disappoint. This was my third time dining at this restaurant and as usual I was satisfied.

Today was my second visit within the same week! The first time was lunch with 2 friends, next was lunch with my husband. The food and decor are reflective of native Detroiters and many of our southern roots, even if we weren't actually born and/or raised in the south. The service is excellent! Fixins is a great addition to Detroit.

My friends and I enjoyed our food and our waitress Taylor was great. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone especially if you’re looking for a good southern meal.
