This is my 2nd time at fixin and it was better than the first. HOWEVER the food is still average at best. First visit (my wifes birthday)I had smother chops yams and Mac. SMH, I really didn't think u can get chops wrong and I guess if ur batter is spicy and u not a spicy guy then it will definitely not be pleasing.. Also the pork chop was thin as hell like a breakfast chop. The crust was very hard and flaky. So every time u bite the chop or put a fork on it the crust just comes off. Yams were average and seem like they were from a can. Macncheese was decent enough.. Kool-aid was fire 🔥 SECOND VISIT, (my sons 18th birthday..he wanted to come)..i will be brief..I had catfish Macncheese and blackeyepeas ..its the same story that I cut the fish with the fork and the crust just comes off the fish...the crust is very hard but the fish tasted ok. Blackeyepeas were ok. On a side but important note my wife ordered 2 wings and a breast. The wings were pink inside..the server said it's Brine they use to marinate the chicken and they all will be like that. The server offered to bring her a different wing to see if it will be different. She brought another fresh wing and Miraculously absolutely No pink at all. There is something very suspicious about that. This restaurant will last not because of the food but because of the atmosphere and prime location down the street from Ford Field.. We will definitely not be back!!!

The food was amazing 10/10 they do have a live DJ so the music is really good me and my partner definitely plan on coming back at the of the month. The Mac -cheese is absolutely delicious must try item

Love how the host and waitress greeted us with smiles and compliments and didn’t take long to Oder anything food was hot a lot pretty good give it a 7/10 food was a lil on the spice side loved the muffins the kool aid was good an love out waitress champagne she made sure we was taken care of way the whole way through

I enjoyed the entire experience. Starting with the friendly smile and warm welcome by the hostess. The overly attentive (a good thing) waitress. The presentation of the food. And the taste of care and time put into preparing the food. I would definitely recommend Fixins to others. As Arnold Schwarzenegger said, I’ll be back”! 😊

Food is too spicy. So food doesn’t have to be spicy just flavorful. They really should indicate that is spicy and make spice levels of option. It says if the chef makes everything for his or her own taste buds. There are quite a few unusual flavors in the food that Just don’t sit too well with me. Waitress was wonderful and ambience nice. Food needs to be revamped.

Johnny always take care of us the food was great I love coming to eat here !!!!!! Hands down the best experience ever oh yeah ask for Johnny we love him from hello can I help you to the bill comes he check on you so you’ll never go without but overall this my go to spot !!!!!!! Thank you all from the front door greeting to the server’s amazing job keep it coming
