Great place to eat with family or date night. Food taste great, service was great, food price can be a little less but it’s downtown so I get it. Would definitely eat here again.

Be prepared to wait and reservations are a must! The service was good, there’s a nice amount of waitstaff and everyone helps. Our food was hot and not a long wait. Greens, fish appetizer and dried chicken were great, as well as the oxtail dish. I like my sweet potatoes a little sweeter but I think most people eat them like Fixins’ made them. I did not care for the Mac ‘n cheese at all but it was better the 2nd day (left overs). Drinks were excellent! Will go back for sure!

First time dining at this establishment, but I can't wait to go back. There isn't a brunch menu, but we had reservations for 1:30 and got there late, around 1:45 (don't judge) they seated us immediately, which leads me to my original point, this place is busiest after 4, so this is perfect for a later Sunday brunch, after church crowd. The food was good! The Mac and cheese and the fish were my favorites. I also ordered the vegan collards and the yams. The collards were cool, the yams could have been a smidge more sweet, but they had good flavor. My friend had some bourbon smash cocktail and she said it was on the sweeter side but still delicious.

Fixins is a beautiful restaurant with a beautiful atmosphere, I just don’t think they’re equipped for larger parties at this time. With it being a newer restaurant I highly suggest going with a reservation, especially on the weekends. I had a party of 8, arrived on time for our reservation & waited close to 35 minutes to be seated, after making complaints to the manager. They tried to squeeze my party of 8 in a 6 person booth, upon noticing how uncomfortable we all looked they moved us to another area of the restaurant, where another issue arose being that another larger party was coming in. There was a lot of miscommunication between the hostess and other employees concerning seating within the restaurant. The hostess struggle with seat placement to maximize party seating and restaurant efficiency. Overall the food is about 8/10. Some items on the menu are a little overpriced. I feel as though for $24 the catfish meal should come with at least two pieces of fish. Half of my party received their meals first and the other half of the table had to wait 20-25 minutes for their meals to come. I think at the moment they are overbooking. Time slots should be removed or staggered to allow for a better experience. I would not return until the hype dies down a little and the restaurant can flow more appropriately.

We had a great time that Fixins we will definitely be coming back. Food was great. Service was great atmosphere great so definitely we will be back.
