Fiume opened in 2013 and is located in Compton, Owners Stefano and Carla welcome you to enjoy quality, modern interpretations of classic dishes inspired by their home regions of Sardinia and Basilicata.

As Italians we are passionate about everything we do and food and drink are hugely important to our culture as we meet with friends and family to enjoy our time together. At Fiume you will experience a little of this culture as we share it with you. We provide authentic Italian cuisine with a southern Italian influence and a fresh twist.

We are proud to be an independent, family-run, Italian bar and restaurant offering you a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere. During the good weather, you can also dine alfresco whilst watching the passing canal boats and your family dog can watch with you too.

At Fiume, we’re already counting down to a New Year’s Eve 2024 celebration that will end the year in style and are now open for bookings*. Our sensational sparkling 3 course set menu is available all day, from Salmon filled Profiteroles to Prime fillet steak and our Classic tiramisu. there is something for everyone to indulge in on the last day off the year. Please note, our set menu is the only menu available from 4.30pm. Or why not join us in the day where you can dine off our a la carte menu until 4.30pm. It’s going to be an unforgettable end to an exceptional year – will you join us?

I always request for downstairs seating due to my disability when booking but the last couple of times I’ve been I’ve been seated upstairs. I also felt abit rushed when I had finished my dessert as the waitress told me that the table was needed for the next people who had arrived. I appreciate it’s a busy time of year but I have to book in advance to get a table at a time that my friend and I are available so just wanted to provide some constructive feedback to you as a regular customer.

I came here to celebrate my partners birthday and had a wonderful night we were both super happy with. We received a warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our table. I briefly said to my partner that the table next to the window looked good and either the staff are mind readers or overheard and asked us if we’d like to move over to the available table. They were really lovely about it and no issue was too much for them. They went out of their way to make our night more memorable and were very knowledgable about the food and drinks they served. The atmosphere was lovely with the lights on the beams and table lamps creating a very romantic and relaxed mood. The food was also wonderful and me and partner were very pleased with the quality of our meals, they were well presented with the flavour to match. We will definitely be visiting here again, thank you for such a wonderful night.

We booked fiume to celebrate my birthday as we had been a couple of times before. We were early but our table was ready. We didn't have to wait long before someone took our drinks order then our food order. The food didn't take long and was lovely as was dessert. Its a bit pricey but worth going for the food. The service was quick and all the staff very polite. Thank you

The food and service were amazing. The food tasted genuinely authentic and was a good portion. Good amount of choice for food and drinks on the menu... and the desserts were perfection on a plate. It was good to see a decent range of cocktails, too. Decor was nice. Prices were reasonable. My wife and I were warmly welcomed, and we both felt very relaxed there. The only slight negative was that we were a little chilly, but not so bad that it would stop us from returning again. Would definitely recommend.
