Fiume opened in 2013 and is located in Compton, Owners Stefano and Carla welcome you to enjoy quality, modern interpretations of classic dishes inspired by their home regions of Sardinia and Basilicata.

As Italians we are passionate about everything we do and food and drink are hugely important to our culture as we meet with friends and family to enjoy our time together. At Fiume you will experience a little of this culture as we share it with you. We provide authentic Italian cuisine with a southern Italian influence and a fresh twist.

We are proud to be an independent, family-run, Italian bar and restaurant offering you a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere. During the good weather, you can also dine alfresco whilst watching the passing canal boats and your family dog can watch with you too.

Cannot rate this place enough. Everything was exceptional from the service received to the food. No request was too big an ask for the staff e.g. a cocktail that wasn’t on the menu. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting authentic Italian food. We will definitely be back.

Outstanding food in a delightful environment. Staff were very friendly, helpful and as we were on a tight timeline - everything arrived, perfectly prepared, in what I would consider record time. Our party of 4 all had different choices - and not a single complaint (from a VERY foody group) could be found. Excellent value for the quality, taste and presentation.

This was without doubt one of the best Italian experiences we’ve had and we visit Italy often. The service was outstanding the ambience very good there is a great atmosphere possibly a little loud sonic that’s not your thing you may need to pass but at the expense of a great meal and drinks! Starter was great, Pasta was fabulous and a great portion size too. Cocktails went down a treat the vanilla latte brûlée was unreal! My only gripe and it’s small is I felt there could be more variety with the deserts. Failing that we will definitely be back and can’t believe we haven’t been earlier. I only heard about it by seeing a Facebook post from an old colleague. I’m sure they don’t need to advertise but they could be missing out we nearly did. Well done to all the staff you were terrific

The food was amazing, a gem of a restaurant by the canal which we are lucky to have on our doorstep. Our special little go to restaurant when celebrating an occasion!

Everything about this place is just amazing, felt like being in Italy! Food amazing, service was incredible and it has got to be one of the most charming & romantic restaurants we have been to in this country. Did not taste anything that didn't make me go WOW Thankyou so much to the team and already cannot wait for the next visit!

Atmosphere,service and setting are lovely. However I was disappointed with my food starter was calamari which was over cooked I then had pulled pork pasta but this was like pasta in gravy and was really not for me; the after dinner cocktail was lovely. I was really looking forward to going and left somewhat disappointed I may visit again just to see if it was a poor choice …..
