Fiume opened in 2013 and is located in Compton, Owners Stefano and Carla welcome you to enjoy quality, modern interpretations of classic dishes inspired by their home regions of Sardinia and Basilicata.

As Italians we are passionate about everything we do and food and drink are hugely important to our culture as we meet with friends and family to enjoy our time together. At Fiume you will experience a little of this culture as we share it with you. We provide authentic Italian cuisine with a southern Italian influence and a fresh twist.

We are proud to be an independent, family-run, Italian bar and restaurant offering you a relaxing, family-friendly atmosphere. During the good weather, you can also dine alfresco whilst watching the passing canal boats and your family dog can watch with you too.

    A great venue for our canal boating holiday. Excellent food, service, venue. We will go back the next time we travel on the Shropshire union canal.

    Fabulous restaurant with the most amazing food. It was my sons birthday celebration, and the staff came out with a candle on his dessert singing happy birthday. The staff are always so friendly and very helpful when explaining the menu.

    Our second visit, both for my wife’s birthday. Cannot endorse it highly enough, lovely place fabulous food and great service and not overly priced for the quality. Mustn’t leave it another year before we return. Thank you x

    Third time visiting and each time the food has been great with service to match. I’d rather pay that little bit more to visit places that provide top quality food and Fiume certainly fits that bill. Probably our favourite Italian restaurant.

    This was my first visit to Fiume Restaurant for my birthday and was truly impressed with the whole experience! We were warmly welcomed and the orders were delivered timely! I ordered the slow cooked pork shank and my wife ordered pasta bolognaise! I’ve only given my dish 3 stars because it was cooked and served skinless! In our Asian cooking, shanks and trotters are cooked with skin and bones in spicy sauce. For this dish, I would offer the suggestion that the Restaurant introduces an option for customers to choose the dish either with skin on or off! My wife’s dish, pasta bolognaise, was tasty! I’m sorry that I didn’t ask the wonderful waiting staff their names but would happily say that they are an asset to your Restaurant

    We visited Fiume in celebration of my birthday and we were really impressed. Greeted and served by friendly attentive and professional staff . It was busy being a Saturday and we had to take a late afternoon booking but in no way were we rushed . Set by the canal with ample space between tables you could be intimate or raucous and not upset others . The food was superb with generous portions freshly cooked and well presented. The menu catered for a full range of budgets . We will definitely return when passing through Compton again .
