Fishworks - Swallow Street is an absolute essential for seafood lovers. The restaurant offers a traditional wet fish counter where you can buy fish to take home and cook yourself, or you can select any fish or crustacean with our fishmonger and have it cooked there and then to your liking.

This chic stylish restaurant is only minutes away from the bustle of Piccadilly hidden away in an exclusive street. The whole restaurant opens its glass window façade doors creating a fantastic atmosphere great for corporate dining and enjoying a pre-theatre meal before hitting the West End.

Very welcoming and professional attitude from all of the staff. A really enjoyable experience from start to finish. The food was very fresh, excellently prepared and cooked, as usual. Ahe staff were attentive but not intrusive and couldn't have been more gracious in the delivery. Special thanks go to Dominika who was particularly charming. My friend and I are looking forward to returning again.

Somehow this location just does not get it right. We have been here twice now and and a few times to the Marylebone location. The food at swallow street is somehow lacking in multiple ways. The mussels still had bits of grain which means they were not given enough time to spit out. The scallops did not taste as good. The service was disassociated or indifferent to the customer, kind of factory like. The location at Marylebone is much better on all fronts. So we will not be back to Swallow st. again. Too expensive for a subpar experience.

First time going to Fishworks… the service was faultless, the ambience was nice, the scallop starters were out of this world, but the Tuna was not on par… it tasted nothing like Tuna but all I could taste was the strong black pepper flavour of the dish. The medium rare was not consistent with some pieces over cooked. Sadly it was not much different from my unskilled methods of making this dish at home.

Selected as it was near Royal Academy, and the menu looked good. You walk in and see a lovel display of fresh fish, but despite the fact this was a Friday lunchtime, only 3-4 tables were taken, which is not great for ambiance (and makes you wonder why it is not in demand). One reason might be the prices - with £18 for three (small) scallops, and £15 for Tuna Carpaccio which was barely a few ounces and was so drowned in sauce it could have been anything. However, the seared tuna was good, and the mackerel fillets nicely done too, and the chips were excellent. The wine was, I thought, a bit overpriced - £14 for a pleasant Chablis - but that's probably (sadly) the going rate for Piccadilly. We finished with a shared dessert (a couple of scoops of ice cream) which was fine. Service was really excellent, friendly and helpful, and very speedy. Nevertheless, when the overall bill came to over £180 for two, it didn't seem great value. The lack of other patrons, and the view outside of some building works meant that it didn't feel such a great occasion. I think if the prices were a little lower, it would be worth recommending.

Very much enjoyed our dinner here. Staff attentive and helpful from when you choose the fish to the full dining experience. Great quality in seafood obviously and well made by the chef. The only issue is they had run out of most of the daily catch sharing fish. So we ended up sharing a sizable turbo. It was great as well and no issues but hope to catch more of the selection that was listed on the menu.
