To start, we made an online reservation, and when we arrived, we were told the restaurant had been closed. No other option was offered to us by hotel staff at that point. We walked past the spa in the hotel, and after asking about the restaurant being closed, we were rudely told we could go outside to a different restaurant. We went out to an outside seating café attached to the hotel, and the service/food was awful. The bar tender got every detail of our simple order wrong and barely said two words. People were complaining loudly and leaving. On top of this, the elevator and two restrooms nearest the restaurant were out of order. I will never recommend or go back to this hotel again.

We had six in our party, to include my grandsons, ages 8 and 11. Everyone’s meals were fine and the service was exceptional. We were seated in the back area - which was great as it was much quieter than the front seating room. I last ate at Old Ebbit Grill over 20 years ago and our meal was as good as I remembered.

Amazing location and delicious meal! Kids Ioved the octopus, and scallops were great.

Ordered $64 dollar steak medium which was burned on the outside. Brussels sprouts were cooked practically out of existence. All in all not a great dining experience.

Service was good. Food was rather bland. It is an OK place to eat, but not really special in my opinion.

The food was less than average at a high price. Service was very mediocre. Not what you would expect at Hotel Washington.

Extremely overpriced for what it is. $150 breakfast for 4 people. Table was dirty. Service was inattentive. Good was pretty good.

Went to Fireclay for a business lunch, and upon arrival, the restaurant seemed closed with no signage or person attending the host stand. We went to the patio section of the hotel outside where someone finally attended us and explained that they had moved the Fireclay restaurant outside. We almost left due to the confusion, and as it was a business lunch, it would have been great to know beforehand that the actual restaurant portion would not be available, and we would be eating lunch in the patio. The food was overall pretty good, albeit it has very limited options. Do not recommend for a business lunch but perhaps for something more casual.
