Welcome to Fire Stone Wood Fired Pizza and Grill, located in Historic Downtown Dothan. Fire Stone starts with a simple concept: create food the way cultures have been preparing it for generations. We do this with our Tuscan imported wood fired ovens and our ordered fresh daily ingredients. We use homemade dough and all pizzas are hand made to order. We also offer a full array of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, calzones as well as our signature thin and crispy Italian style pizza. We offer a fully stocked bar with over 60 liquors, 13 beers on draft, 18 bottled beers, and 12 varieties of aged wine for your selection.

We made our reservations 2 DAYS prior. Our friends were driving up from the Pensacola area to meet us after we got off of work. We arrived about 15 minutes early, and checked in with the hostess to let her know our reservation info and that we had arrived (we were completely willing to wait until our reservation time to be seated). BUT--- Fire Stone would not honor our reservations! At first, that was extremely disappointing and maddening, but it turned out to be a blessing. We ended up going to another restaurant (recommended by a nice lady who overheard us discussing the situation) which not only had a short wait time of about 10 minutes, but the atmosphere was wonderful and the food was superb. We ended up having a great evening, tipped our excellent server 30%, and we will definitely NOT go to Fire Stone next time!

Actually, I would have to go again to provide a fair evaluation. We stopped in on a Friday night, not know ing there was a comedy concert in town. We were told a 30-35 minute wait, ended up waiting for 75minutes. Many people came in well after us and were promptly seated. Kept going to the desk and were told 4 ahead, then 3, but many groups went in between. Went on line and realized they take appointments and schedule one for 7:15pm. We were seated shortly prior to this.

Be prepared to wait. Had reservation and were seated 40 minutes after reservation. Has happened the couple of times we have been. Pizza was good, although margarita pizza had no sauce. BBQ pizza was pretty good.

We were a group of seven. The food was fantastic, especially the deserts! Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the atmosphere. The service could not have been better.

I have dined here on several occasions and for the most part was usually satisfied. The last visit wasn’t ideal and so I hadn’t returned in over 2 years. This time the wait was 25 minutes after our reservation. The silverware is rolled at the greeting stand so quests can stand over it and breathe their germs on it..... yuck.....air conditioner was broken so it was uncomfortable. The waiter acted like he was miserable and never smiled or greeted us with a welcoming attitude. It may be another 2 years or longer before I return.
