We were excited to learn of the revamping of the former Trattoria Restaurant. The theme o southern cooking was anticipated by all of us. The corn bread starter was delicious, almost dessert. And likewise the devil eggs. We had the pork belly. Flavorful and cooked just right. But our friend who had the chicken was remorsefully disappointed. the portion was barely enough for a small lady. Our server, though trying hard, was late with the first round of cocktails. The starters, ordered at the same time as the drinks, were not put into the computer until after the drinks were delivered. so the apps were delayed unnecessarily. Bad beginning. We ordered quickly for the entrees, expecting the worst. When they arrived, they came with the salads instead of salad first and entree second. What do you do? Eat the salad so the entree gets cold? or gorge it all at the same time? Neither works. With our second round of drinks taking forever, we all agreed, this is "One and Done!"

Me and my friend attended for lunch. Our waiter was very attentive and nice. He constantly checked on us, which was appreciated. He gave us awesome suggestions and answered all questions we had about the menu. The crab cakes and slice of bread we had for appetizers were delicious...better than our main course. The ambiance was very nice. We were seated near the huge window, so lots of natural light. We enjoyed ourselves and both mentioned to each other that we would definitely come back.

High hopes this dining experience would be more fine dining / nice occasion restaurant. Unfortunately it’s like they aim for that and fall short. All food was mediocre and nothing to remember. The desserts in my opinion were not even worth purchasing. The service was friendly but not refined for dollar point and SLOW. We sat for at least 10 minutes til server came over. To add our place setting as we had more individuals than settings they set it down and made us pay it out. Cocktails were intended to be elevated by description and cost but sweet and not great. Food was underwhelming - overall disappointing

Lamb dish and pork belly dish were fabulous as was watermelon and tomato salad.

Kevin was awesome! He helped us choose our wine and the right food to go along with it and it was all amazing!

Bar experience was horrendous. They have tables but no table service. I saw a young lady beginning to clear a table. I asked her if there was table service, she said "no you'll have to order at the bar". Well low and behold who waited on me at the bar? She did! Dinner on the other hand was good as was the service. Grandover has to do better than 5 star prices, but 3 star service!
