The fish is fresh and the sake is strong at Fin, our oceanview sushi restaurant, located inside the historic Hotel Laguna in the heart of Downtown Laguna Beach. Made the reservation at Fin but likely didn’t need to because we were the only people seated near the sushi bar and the Hotel Laguna restaurant had plenty of seating with the same menus. The food was great and with all of our plates cleaned we had zero complaints! The charred edamame and Sunset roll were my favorites!!

The Fin sushi bar is around the corner from the lobby bar so really hidden. The sushi was OUTSTANDING. We did ask for no sesame seeds at all and the edamame came with a sesame sauce. We sent it back. We also pre called and asked if they had a specific name brand sake. We were told no, we bought/brought our own, and they actually did have it. Thankfully as we didn’t want to spend the $35 cork fee on top of buying our own sake, we bought theirs. We would go back.

Amazing sushi and service. Samuel, Kayli and and the other chef there also were all so welcoming and fun to be with! Will be coming back!

first time here, food was terrific. We ordered from the sushi menu which was fantastic, but we could see all the other food go by like burgers, tacos and salads and all of it looked delicious. Service was also excellent, our sushi came very quickly, the ambience was world class, we had a terrific table overlooking the ocean. Excellent excellent experience. Will be going again.
