If outdoor seating is not an available option when you are making a reservation, it is probably due to the outside being completely booked. Thank you Open Table ! We live almost an hour away and were going to the playhouse in Summit NJ and I saw Fin Raw Bar listed … Wow ! From entering the restaurant to our leaving it was quite an enjoyable experience! The ambiance is soft and has a “ sea shore “ feel with plain wood tables and a white paper strip as a table cloth. the music matched the décor and was not intrusive. The staff were very attentive and knowledgeable about there meal offerings and they over lapped the tables to insure every group dining were being cared for I.e . water , silverware , bread etc . We started with the crab cakes as a shared app and it was chock full of crab and flavorfulll ! I had the seafood mélange that was outstanding ! We did not bring wine but they have a liquor store that will deliver to your table ! And yes ! We will make this a destination restaurant in the future! Ps It is located in a quaint village type area and we took a walk around the block which is a plethora of restaurants and interesting shops

First visit was amazing and outstanding. This second visit was just okay. Nothing bad just nothing special. I got the Roughy and the Fish was tasty but the rice with mango and peanut sauce was disappointing. The Bam bam cauliflower and New England Clam chowder were very good, but the Scallops were just slightly undercooked. Overall a okay but not as good as first visit.

This was our second time here and I think they got better. We shared the Bang-bang shrimp which were excellent and enough for 3 people. Our entries of scallops and wood grilled shrimp both were very good. We will be back soon.

Our meal was very good. We shared 2 starters and had the wood grilled salmon and the Shanghai shrimp. Everything was delicious. The noise level was a little loud- tricky for having conversation. Service was also good. It is a BYOB- so remember your wine.

Had an awesome dining experience at Fin Raw Bar. The food was fantastic and freshly made. The restaurant is small and cozy. Will definitely be going back.

Doug, our server, is fantastic. Super helpful explaining specials, guiding us with portions of plates for best ordering and just an overall delight. Food is wonderfully fresh with modern preparations and combinations to make it worth going out. It's BYO but if you forget or didn't realize it, you can scoot to a local liquor store OR order off the menu and it will be delivered. What a great neighborhood resource. Love having this as a local spot but please do not tell to many people how fantastic it is because I will never be able to get a reservation! LOVE this spot.

Fin is definitely a 'neighborhood gem' in Summit. We go there often and its is always great. It does get a bit loud on weekend nights but we went last night, Wednesday, and it was quiet. I got my standard Shanghai Shrimp and it was fantastic. My friend got the Atlantic salmon which was served on sort of a mound of avocado and fresh crabmeat and she loved it. Service was great and food is fairly priced. Highly recommend.
