Having read recent reviews (after booking the table!), I was a bit worried I had made the wrong choice. I didn’t! The food was fantastic, the service was too! I can’t recommend highly enough and my wife and I will be going back! Thank you to all those at Filly Inn! The menu choice was so good we are going to have to go back to try other dishes. Well done all. For anyone thinking of going give it a try and don’t let the negative reviews put you off because our visit was great (after a walk in the forest),

Nice enough atmosphere. Food was not hot enough, portions for veg was poor one carrot tiny amount of cabbage and needed to purchase extra sides like pigs in blanket and cauliflower for a £22 roast. Roast potatoes was also small portion and obviously reheated- was hard and dry. Meat was well. Liked though. Not good value for money and service was ok could be better if staff knew the menu and attended table for drinks.

Review of Beaulieu Pub Unfortunately, our experience was underwhelming. The service started off friendly, but things quickly went downhill. They were out of roast chicken, so one of our party ordered a pie instead. The food took ages to arrive, with no updates from the staff. When it finally came, the children’s meal was good, but my roast was only average, with dry potatoes. The pie, however, was dreadful—overcooked to the point of being inedible, with a rock-hard crust that seemed microwaved to death. To top it off, there was something resembling a flower stem or green twig in the steamed vegetables. We pointed this out to our server, who offered to remove the pie from our bill. But when the check arrived, the pie was still on it, and they kept the 12.5% service charge despite the issues. We had to ask again to get the charge removed. Overall, we left feeling disappointed and unimpressed.

Food ok, but not special. Waiting staff were very inexperienced and lacked knowledge of the menu. In response to them asking me about my food allergy I was referred to a QR code by the kitchen apparently, suggesting they didn’t know the ingredients of the dish. Also when asked whether the cheesecake was baked or chilled we were told it was baked (having asked the kitchen) but it was in fact chilled! All a bit disappointing

Shown to table straight away in restaurant Order taken quickly Food bought out fairly quickly (Sunday roasts) Food warm at best - roast potatoes not fresh, Yorkshire puddings cold. Didn’t get a chance to complain as staff were too busy Chicken roast did not come with all of trimmings Did let waitress know and she said she would tell the kitchen, which isn’t that helpful Puddings were lovely Had to go and ask for the bill as it was a busy lunch with 3 people serving Felt like a canteen not a pub

Waitress was lovely however the food dry and portions small. Items missing from meal and no check on how the food was or opportunity to purchase a second drink.

Just had a wonderful Sunday roast at the Filly inn. Th vegan option was delicious , a lovely filo wellington. My husband had the roast chicken which was equally delicious with beautiful fresh vegetables and all the usual trimmings. The pub itself is warm and inviting. The staff ( we had Gemma and Martin) were so friendly and helpful. We Will definitely be returning and thoroughly recommend

Our first time at the Filly inn and it really was enjoyable. The food was delicious and the stuff were very attentive. We will most definitely be back, Thank you to all the staff for a really great experience.
