I had been at File Gumbo Bar with friends for a birthday dinner and was excited that were going to have a Labor Day Brunch. We all came back with a friend that had not tried the restaurant before. Our waitress was very accommodating (we asked for 4 separate checks) and helpful in drink and food selections. The food as incredible, great presentation and wonderful flavors. I had the lump crabmeat omelet that was savory and a large portion of crabmeat provided. The vibe was great (jazz music playing) and just relaxed and chill! We we all be going back !!

Had another wonderful time at Filé Gumbo Bar. The food never fails to disappoint which is why I continue to return for my favorite brunch- Chef Eric at the helm Kevin working the gumbo urns and have been for dinner and happy hour. Impeccable service - Patty is always there with a smile and ready to make sure we always have a great experience! Thank you!

Great relaxed atmosphere and the gumbo was uniquely satisfying as a meal. Could eat it every day.

Went for the Gumbo and Chocolate Prailine cake. Gumbo was very good. Cake was very disappointing. The cake was very dry to stale, little if any prailine sauce. Crawfish bread tasty but portion was smaller than pictured. Waitress was stretched unable to be attentive. And the 3.5% surcharge was not warranted, added no obvious value. Overall it was an ok experience.

Many cajun restaurants have closed so we were excited to try this one. It was pleasant surprise. The food was really delicious and a nice change of pace. We had the jambalaya and the shrimp creole which were excellent. The portions are large so there was plenty to take home for lunch the next day! We also ordered the crawfish bread starter which I didn't love but I am still glad I tried it. We didn't have room for dessert but judging from the table next to ours, they did look delicious. This is one of many restaurants that adds a 3% service fee to the bill so be prepared. This isn't for a gratuity but I am guessing for the credit card (?). Not a fan of this trend of adding fees on to a bill in general, but the food was definitely really good.

The food was OUTSTANDING!!!! My husband and I shared the All In Gumbo and the grilled shrimp special. I will definitely return.
