A good place for Sunday brunch. The food was tasty, beautifully presented and well-priced.

The pluses: excellent, friendly, and prompt service; fun atmosphere; and very good food presentation. The so-sos: food, though innovative, was over-salted on both our main courses; drinks were relatively expensive; final bill, even for restaurant week prices ($40 each, for 3 courses), was close to $200 for 2 people, including tax and tip -- frankly more than the experience was worth. (Drinks consisted of 1 [pretty good, nothing amazing] cocktail each, plus 1 ice tea and 1 glass of wine.)

I made a reservation for 2 for 11am during DC Restaurant Week and nobody on the wait staff came to talk to us after waiting for 30 minutes. Please do not allow people to make reservations at 11 if you are not actually open then

Alex did a wonderful job serving a party of 6 for an earlier dinner. Figleaf had amazing decor and the angry potato’s and lamb tacos are delicious

Espresso martini was the worst I ever had in dc. Food was ok, portions for everything except the frittata was good. Not many servers so refills were slow. Overall 3/5

Took my mom here for mother’s day. Ordered a bunch of food. They don’t have many options at all for people who specifically feel overwhelmed with intricate menus. The food was phenomenal. The ginsen burger was delicious and their fries are too die for! I also got the bottomless mimosas which for the price was totally worth it! The ambience is beautiful and classy. My mom hates crowded places so this was perfect as it was only about two other families who sat down while the rest were at the bar! It is pretty chilly in certain spots, but overall this was a great hidden gem to find! The servers are so nice and really want to make sure everything is going okay!

Hi, I just wanted to give a special shout out to Matthew! I hope I got his name right. I’m the F&B manager for a hotel right around the corner and it was my first time dining here. Absolutely fantastic service!! His point of service was articulated beautifully, gestures, cadence and overall presence was so comforting. So attentive but also distant enough for privacy for my date. I am throughly impressed he gave me fresh pressed strawberries in my lemon drop because they were out of the “ mixed berry”. I will definitely be returning. Thank you so much Matthew!!!!!
