In Uptown Houston's Galleria, FIG & OLIVE Tasting Kitchen & Bar is an escape to the French Riviera for weary shoppers and residents. F&O Houston gives guests an accessible way to indulge with an elegant lunch or a late-night rendezvous. The buzzy bar scene makes for an evening that is effortlessly entertaining. A wonderful dining experience with tasteful seasonal menu selections. With a glass of cabernet, the prosciutto crostini was nicely balanced with fig jam. For mains we ordered the Branzino a la Plancha lightly seasoned with a slight crisp to the skin and the Roasted Brick Chicken finished atop a medley of vegetables, olives and salsa verde. Both wonderfully presented, tasteful but subject to change as the chef rotated to other seasonal flavors. I frequent the Galleria and can’t believe I hadn’t visited Fig and Olive sooner. We had a delightful lunch at Fig and Olive. The croquettes were delicious and the Moroccan- Spiced Salman too. A very enjoyable lunch. Our waiter was attentive.

Went with girl friends for Houston Restaurant Weeks. The service is attentive and warm. Food is excellent. This will definitely be our regular gathering place for sure!

Lovely space in the very busy Galleria for lunch. Found the menu a bit limited, and the price points on the high end. $30 for a summer salad is a bit much. That being said, Mediterranean flavor profiles were spot on, and the service was excellent!

My wife and I have always gone to this place and never had any issues. The last two times we have been here it has been very underwhelming and the quality of the food/service has gone downhill. For what you pay, you expect the food and service to be great. I ordered the steak frites and it honestly was like a steak you could get at Texas Roadhouse and not a nice place like FIG and olive. My wife ordered paella and the mussels had virtually nothing in it and the shrimp weren’t great. The cocktails are the only bright spot here. Another tactic this place uses is asking you if you want water and if you say yes, they bring out a bottle and charge you 9 dollars for it. I was able to get it removed but it is sort of a deceiving business practice. I wonder how many people have been charged this and didn’t even know. We will not be coming back to this restaurant after bring customers for at least 3 years. There are so much better places for the value than here.
