Field & Tides, located in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood features an open canvas menu that reflects Executive Chef Travis Lenig’s culinary experiences. Chef Lenig’s roots stem from his love for many different types of cuisine such as Southern, Italian, French and Asian. “Field” is represented by locally sourced vegetables, pork, poultry, beef and game, while “Tides” is seafood that is locally sourced as well, with an emphasis on the Gulf. The upscale casual restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. Patrons can enjoy a spacious patio for outdoor dining, as well as a separate private dining room available to rent for all your special occasion needs.

This restaurant took a 9:45 reservation, they close at 10p….. they rushed us through drinks, ordering. Appetizers, entree, desert and paying the check in less than 20 minutes then swept us out the door. If you’re going to do that just don’t take a reservation that close to closing time.

Great dinner with golf friends. Food was outstanding as was the service. I need to remember to go there more often!

Had the fried oyster appetizer with brussel sprouts and a bowl of chicken and sausage gumbo. Oysters were excellent. Gumbo needed a little more heat for my taste. Set outside and it was a lovely evening. Service was excellent.

All great but insufficient disabled parking. We were aided and treated well by all esp John and James in the patio room We will return

We love our neighborhood gem. Today we enjoyed the oysters, crab toast, and the Brussels sprouts and oyster appetizer. All were amazing!!!!

Good food, good service, good ambiance! Definitely plan on going again. The crab on fried green tomatoes and arugula was super- the best fried green tomatoes I’ve ever had!!

Unfortunately the food was disappointing this time at Field and Tides. The fish was overcooked. Strawberries were not fresh or flavorful.

Three scallops and some risotto for $33 isn’t the best value but it tasted good. Other things I’ve had there have been a good value however. I miss the snapper collars - wish they’d bring them back.
