Field & Tides, located in Houston’s historic Heights neighborhood features an open canvas menu that reflects Executive Chef Travis Lenig’s culinary experiences. Chef Lenig’s roots stem from his love for many different types of cuisine such as Southern, Italian, French and Asian. “Field” is represented by locally sourced vegetables, pork, poultry, beef and game, while “Tides” is seafood that is locally sourced as well, with an emphasis on the Gulf. The upscale casual restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch served on Saturday and Sunday. Patrons can enjoy a spacious patio for outdoor dining, as well as a separate private dining room available to rent for all your special occasion needs.

The food was excellent. The brussels sprouts and fried oysters was fantastic. The fried chicken thigh and the redfish were both outstanding. The bread pudding and coffee were also excellent. Service was very fast, background music was great and the drinks were good as well. We really enjoyed our first visit!

Very good restaurant. Excellent food and service. Only criticism is the mixed drinks are very light on alcohol.

The food and our waiter were great. I’ll definitely be going back to try the breakfast food because it looked amazing. I loved the recommended cod sandwich and deviled eggs.

Redfish was delicious. Beef stroganoff , not enough moisture/sauce, meat- tasty but fatty,pasta was nice texture, but too darn long the lovely width of the noodles. Deviled eggs…yolk mixture bland… pork belly made passable. Alabama stack cake lacked pizzazz and a bit dry… strawberries and cream, pretty presentation, but nothing spectacular.

Everything from beginning to end was +5 stars! The service & food were amazing! This was our 1st time at Field & Tides and we can’t wait to go back!

Had a business luncheon for lunch. The special of the day was the seafood risotto and it was awesome!
